This is a non traditional restaurant where you make the bowl of your choice much like a Chipotle. The customer service is fantastic and all sauces are made in house. It's tasty and you'll easily become addicted. Good food and service is hard to come by in Hamden. So be sure to stop by for a healthy bite!

They have the best fried chicken I've ever had! It doesn't look like it but trust me. It's super crispy, they drizzle Siracha and sesame seeds on top. Really great! It takes a little because it's so fresh. I usually call ahead and pick it up 10-15mins later. Sooo worth it

Been going to Zzaam since they opened, huge fan! It’s usually pretty empty when I go for rice bowls, not sure why, because it’s cheaper, quicker, and way healthier than all the fast food in the Hamden plaza and beyond.

This is a Korean fusion restaurant that is modeled on Chipotle. The pre-made food was good, but the sauces present themselves as spicier than they are. No Korean would find even the hottest sauces spicy, so order one or two levels hotter than your usual. The best food was the food that wasn't pre-made--the appetizers. The Mando with kimchi filling was fantastic! It was a quiet night, so the room felt large and quiet, but it is clean and I enjoyed eating there. If you are looking for quick and filling, this is a good choice, followed by Ashly's homemade ice-cream in the strip mall to the south. The owner seemed very nice.

I ordered a rice bowl with various vegetables, the tofu option and vegetable dumplings. I'm not sure why this location is being marked as closed, they are very much open. The gentleman behind the counter was very friendly and helpful. You get a heavy bowl for the cost which was eight dollars and change. It was highly flavorful. And, although I selected the spicy sauce it wasn't overpowering. I will be going back today possibly to try the noodle bowl version.
