Had dinner at the bar. Steak fajita salad was good. It was early so on the quiet side. La Fresca ‘Rita’s were tasty

Had the fish tacos with rice and beans loved it but didn't care too much for the oranges inside of the tacos .. was a bit loud and crowded but that's ok . Rating it 5 for the food and the servers there were really kind and helpful!

Found a good place in Hartford for Mexican food. Restaurant ambience was great. As soon as I took a place , compliments were ready. Then immediately the ordered food arrived. Food was very tasty. I recommend this restaurant.

This place gave up my table because I was 15 minutes late. They said they called me but clearly didn't. I was trying to rush to the xl center right after so I was late.

I love Mexican food, authentic Mexican food - thus food is not remotely authentic. Tex-Mex? I don't know. But this was way up there on my list of really awful food. Everything was smothered in bar-b-que sauce and too much salt. One redeeming item? The empegnada was good

Agave Grill in Hartford, CT is located downtown on the corner of Ann Ucelo and Allyn Streets. This small, but vibrant restaurant offers a wide variety of authentic Mexican fare, alongside on EPIC specialty drink list. The portions are large and the staff is always upbeat, friendly, and professional.

One thing to note if you go with kids; though they DO NOT have a kids menu on their website or even in the restaurant, they do offer kid size portions of all dishes and of course have the classic go to; chicken fingers and french fries. The homemade guac is a must, and the Mango Habanero Wings, tho spicier than most places, are an awesome way to start your meal.

I grew up with Agave. I love Agave. Cinco de Mayo was the worst experience. As someone who worked in restaurants for over a decade, including busy holidays - the restaurant was not busy for a holiday and should have been manageable. The DJ was ridiculously loud, even at 6pm, and playing music more fitting for a club than a Mexican restaurant on Cinco de Mayo. The food was amazing, always has been, and I would've preferred anyone in the kitchen to have made the margaritas. The first drinks were fine, the second ones (that we didn't get to order until an hour later) were hot in temperature and horrible - not even close - one tasted like a glass of warm lime juice and another like what you pour from the mat. A real shame from the consistent awesome that Agave used to be.

Delicious food. We came on weekday lunch and not too many people. Ordered enchiladas and agave tacos. Both came with rice and beans. Portions are huge and served with salsa. They served tortilla chips as a welcome snack. We had beef and pork and the meat was so tender and juicy. Everything was well seasoned. Service was great and very friendly.
