Stopped here for a Sunday evening meal, 2 adults 2 kids, and it did not disappoint. The drinks were good, chips/salsa were plentiful, and we all enjoyed our dishes. Lastly our service was really good too. Overall good experience and highly recommend!

Ordered a burrito on my break and asked for no onions and still got it in my burrito somehow lol but I called and the guy on the phone didn’t make a big deal about it and was quick to offer a refund or a new burrito. Glad I didn’t have to deal with a hassle and they were quick to fix the situation

We’ve eaten here and always enjoyed the food and the vibe since it opened (20?) years ago. And in recent years we’ve had it delivered via one of those services. We ate there tonight after an event at the Bushnell. When we arrived, there was only a table of 3 and a guy at the bar where we chose to sit and watch NFL and the Ryder Cup. (By the time we left at 7, there were many more.) The bartender/waiter was friendly as was the waitress. There was even pleasant live music, courtesy of Nick. The Sunday menu is limited compared to Mon.-Sat., but don’t let that deter you. We each could’ve gone in various directions with our order. We shared the tasty Con Queso (with chorizo added), using the excellent chips provided no charge with good salsa. Then my wife had the pork tacos (with rice and black beans) and I enjoyed the pablano burger and fries. You don’t leave here hungry, but we then nevertheless shared the churros for dessert, probably the best I’ve ever had. Most importantly, we each had 3 margaritas, tasting 4 of the many varieties on the menu. (The Tradicion and the Skinny Margarita were the winners.) I’m glad Agave is hanging in there and still a dependable go-to in these challenging times for downtown restaurants.

I gave it 3 stars to be fair. The atmosphere is nice and welcoming. The music was good. The service was great. I had a really nice waiter/bartender. But I wasn’t really satisfied with the food to be honest. I ordered the shrimp enchiladas. The shrimps tasted like frozen shrimp from a bag. The cheese sauce was a bit overwhelming and the dish was bland overall. The red sangria wasn’t that good. It just tasted very sweet and tasted like there was more bar ingredients than red wine. The rice was ok. But the black beans were lacking flavor and sauce. It was like if they drained the can of Beans and just heated it up in the pot. I’ve had really good enchiladas before which usually comes with the option of a red,green, or mole sauce. This wasn’t the greatest Mexican dish. The chips and salsa was a hit. Maybe if I tried something else it would have been good. But I would recommend it for the ambiance and service.

Very friendly staff but inattentive. We waited quite a while for our food, but they were apologetic at the end of the day and gave us a discount on our food. Plus, the desserts would have been on the house if we had ordered any.
