Wow! Pleasantly surprised! If you’re just passing through town or have a delayed train at Union Station—walk down to Aladdin. Hummus, Baba and falafel and salad were fresh, authentic and delicious! Tahini was on point as well! Very tasty.

Horrible food. THE worst food I’ve ever eaten in my life. The chicken was absolutely inedible and I could barely eat 2 pieces before feeling sick. The mutton was also terrible. For just 2 things it costed over 40 dollars which is absolutely insane. I will absolutely never go to this restaurant again and will tell friends and family to stay away from here.

We stopped by Aladdin’s Halal straight from the Amtrak station on 7/17/25, hungry and in search of something healthy and affordable. While the initial reception felt a bit cold, the food more than made up for it. The lentil soup was hearty and flavorful, and the falafel salad hit the spot. What really stood out was the complimentary pita and hummus—fresh, soft, and absolutely phenomenal. They definitely earned points for that! I’d recommend Aladdin’s Halal for a satisfying, budget-friendly meal with solid vegetarian options.

The Shawarma Pizza!
Yes! You read that right! They have a shawarma pizza and it’s delicious. I was in Hartford visiting a friend and traveled 40 minutes for this. The entire way here we kept asking each other. Is it worth it but before even taking the first bite just by looking at it, we know it was, and sure enough it exceeded all of our expectations.
