We stopped by Aladdin’s Halal straight from the Amtrak station on 7/17/25, hungry and in search of something healthy and affordable. While the initial reception felt a bit cold, the food more than made up for it. The lentil soup was hearty and flavorful, and the falafel salad hit the spot. The Shawarma Pizza!
Yes! You read that right! They have a shawarma pizza and it’s delicious. I was in Hartford visiting a friend and traveled 40 minutes for this. The entire way here we kept asking each other. Is it worth it but before even taking the first bite just by looking at it, we know it was, and sure enough it exceeded all of our expectations.
