We were quickly seated. Waitstaff was very attentive. Drink and food orders were taken and served promptly. Food was delicious! WE dine once or twice a month there. We were there for live music. Band was excellent, sound levels were balanced, moderate. Another good time at BES! See you again, next Friday!
Wednesday Jazz experience good. Food and drinks fair...didn't take home the leftovers. Service was great. Would visit again for the jazz but not specifically for a meal
Great food...great service..great atmosphere. Great music..Enjoyed the band! I will definitely be back!!
We were there around brunch time I had the pulled pork Benny, it was really good. The Mac and cheese was also delicious. The group I was with all enjoyed their meals.
Excellent, as always brought 2 more people to tried the food and primarily the collard greens, as always it was hit. We all finally found a place that they make great, flavor food primarily the ars greens. Mind you these people hate greens in general. Lol Thanks again until next time
We were about 15 minutes early for our reservation and were seated immediately. There was a jazz festival also going on in the city so i don't think the restaurant was as busy as usual. We sat on the live music side and thoroughly enjoyed the band. The food was outstanding and the service was very good. Highly recommend !
Love this place. Our only complaint is that the website seemed to indicate there was live music, but when we arrived, we were told they don't have live music on Thursdays. Food was great!
A good place for southern cuisine and live music. I typically go to the Wednesday night jazz jam.
The food was good but the place was really loud. Service was slow and they seemed understaffed although the place was only half filled.
The Wesley Lewis Quartet was fabulous and an extremely top notch jazz group. Hard to believe we hadn't heard of them. The jam session was fun to behold. Catfish and cheesy grits were generous and tasty. Alysia was an excellent server. Overall, highly recommended.

We went on a live music night just before the band started. The food was delicious and smoky. Great flavor (I had the pulled pork and my date had the fried chicken). The band was Awesome!!! (It was named KC something or other). The service was a little slow and the band got kinda loud as we started to leave. But it was a great time!
Great place. You can't beat the vibe! Music was bluesy and talented and the food was good ole southern cooking, as promised!
The food and the service were excellent. The decor was lovely as well. An enjoyable experience.
The Easter Brunch was better than we expected. The food was so good. Everything we tried was delicious and they kept bringing out new pans of food. We did not have to wait around and everyone seemed to be enjoying the food, music and overall vibe. Everyone was friendly and many tables were heard laughing and having a great time with family and friends. So happy we made this reservation.
We had a great time, Tia was our server - top notch!-she knows the menu , ingredients and timing for serving. Our favorite was the rice and beans with glazed salmon.. wished for some distinction in the batters used on tomato vs cod ...this place has good fun vibe . We shall return.
