First time here. The ice creams are flavorful, the servings are generous and the service is excellent. The place is very clean with plenty of seating; the decor is so cute, lots of colors. I recommend it and I will return.

They catered an event so I got to try a couple different flavors, and everything tasted delicious. The staff were also very friendly. The shop is local to me so I can't wait to try it again.

Capital Ice Cream came to my company to do an ice cream social! Top notch flavor and selection! I recommend the strawberry cheesecake flavor, and may I say, best ice cream in Connecticut, 5/5 stars! Shoutout to Chantelle and Marielis for the excellent service! Cool down, and enjoy Capital Ice Cream in the Heart of Downtown Hartford!

Stopped by on a hot day and wanted to try out the toasted coconut ice cream. Not too impressed, it tasted like vanilla ice-cream with coconut bits. My wife ordered the rum raisin and she couldn't taste any rum flavor. Not sure if we got a bad batch.

The ice cream here is so smooth and creamy which is the only way to have a good cone.
Serving size was plentiful just how I like it! :-)
The shop is very spacious with both indoor and outdoor seating where you can just chill and enjoy your frozen treat.

What an amazing fun time my husband and I had with the owner and the 2 young ladies that work there. Great ice cream, the flavors are on point. The service omg they treat you so good and they have a lot of patience because I didn't know what I wanted. Let's not talk about the decor it matches the great attitudes. We will be back soon
