Not a fan of this place at all. Ended up here after another venue was unexpectedly shut down due to plumbing issues. It’s not many queer choices in CT - so majority of us ended up there. It’s like we took over their space - we were all dressed in white. However, I don’t really care for the vibe here. I’m 32 and a native from Hartford. I’ve been here a handful of times and each time I wish I saved my money. Anywho, I get to the bar waited over 10 mins to order a drink, it was made wrong, and the bartender got a whole attitude. I later found out it was the owner - how pitiful. So I went to the other side, waited another 10 mins, and was skipped over twice before my drink was remade. Also - they played techno, electronica, and house with overlays from the early 2000’s all night. Where is the diversity? I should have called it a night after the plumbing issues.

We love The Chez! It's a wonderful community space and treasured gem here in Connecticut. Friendly patrons, incredible drag shows, yummy bar food, and a wide variety of events. We are lucky to have a space like this here in Connecticut - definitely worth supporting! 💖
very relaxed and welcoming vibe, everything on the menu and I do mean everything is delicious! Karaoke with Joey every Wednesday is always a good time!!!

Honestly one of my favorite places to Go to with friends. everyone here is so nice and we always have a great time. Karaoke nights here are so fun, the drinks are great, the staff is awesome.
We need more places like this around town and places with LGBTQ/pride vibes 🩵🩷🤍
This place used to be good for gay men but, we came here for a drag show and they were sold out. They had a bunch of straight woman who sold out the show.. This bar is not friendly towards attractive young gay men. Go to Fame in Holyoke or Xroom in Sprinfield.

Incredible place! karaoke on Wednesday night and shows on Friday and Saturday nights ????good service ??????
Pretty disappointing that they charged us $20 per person to go into the special event Wuff.. and other friends were charged only $10. Sad that this is the only place in Hartford... surely not coming back, just not worth it to pay a high price to go in, and overpriced drinks.
We went last night for the Halloween lgbtq+ meet up and got dinner. I felt like the drinks were generous and the bartender/ bar back was very sweet. The truffle fries could have been cooked a little longer but the crispy chicken Mac and cheese was bomb. I do wish they had a cocktail menu because I'm indecisive when put on the spot 😂

Like it here but is a huge bummer they let Chanell go she was always a bright point of being here kind of unbelievable
amazing entertainment in an amazing inclusive atmosphere 👏
Awesome laughed a lot, and enjoyed the show.
I am really disappointed their motto is "There's Something For Everyone At The Chez" just I just tried to go and couldn't because they are not handicap accessible. I was really looking forward to going tonight. I guess people with disabilities don't count in their definition of Inclusitivity. Do better!
I've been more than welcome and more than ecstatic everytime I've been. I first went just by myself and everyone was so happy to introduce themselves and get me involved. I've been at least a dozen times since and i will continue to go as long as it's here! 🖤
