I wanted to sweat hahaOur service was excellent. He brought me an extra side of Cajun spice, which added flavor but not the hot hot hot hot hot I was cravingCajun 1, please add spicier options! Your seafood is excellent and it deserves a truly crazy hot Cajun spicy spice that makes you NEED to take a bite of potato in between spicy soaked corn and absolutely drenched shrimp

Food is delicious but less(alot of potatoes)and not enough sauce in the boil bags I have to literally go back to the restaurant to get sauce for my boil bag and my boil bag wasn't that cheap I paid almost $90 for that bag and gave a tip,but everyone was very polite (atlanta bag)

Great place to celebrate a birthday. Very accommodating, service and food was great. I really enjoyed we weren't rushed to celebrate and eat, which is usually a main concern. There is nothing negative to say.

This is the place for seafood boils, I’ve been buying them for a few years , food is always awesome and tasty. I did this year but something was missing (sausage) I don’t eat as much seafood so I go for the sausage potatoes corn and eggs . No sausage? this year. I’m sure it was a simple mistake but I missed it very much.. hands down the best Cajun boiled up north…

The Bloomfield location recently closed so I needed to go to Hartford to get their usually amazing shrimp that Chosen1 has. But this take-out order was less than stellarWhen I opened my bag upon arriving home, there was no seasoning on the shrimp. It was as if the shrimp had been boiled in water and thrown in the bag. (I have pictures if someone reviews this, the bag is clear with no seasoning. I normally have to use gloves!)When I called the same night to let them know, I talked with Trevor and he basically brushed me off and said "it was impossible" for me to get shrimp with no seasoning and hung up the phone. Bye-Bye to my $50.This was really weird for me as the Bloomfield location never had this issue. So it is not like I was trying something "new" on the menu. Been ordering the exact same dish for years.I called the next day in hopes of talking to the day manager and, to my surprise, Trevor WAS the manager. He gave me the same explanation he gave the previous night. To his credit, he wasn't as dismissive as he was the previous night, but still unwilling to work on a solution to our issue. I feel that is very poor customer service.His suggestion was to come back, but I live 30 minutes away with Bloomfield being closed.I wasn't asking for a free meal, but I dropped $50 and got a pretty boring and tasteless meal. Which is very different from the norm.A 10% coupon, a 20% coupon, a free drink, or even a simple apology. I got none of that.I acknowledged that it seems implausible that the shrimp would have been handed off to me with no seasoning, but I and my wife can confirm that it was.For what it is worth, the shrimp po-boy and cajun fries I also ordered was very good. But I will have to think twice before giving the Hartford Chosen 1 a try again now that they are only in Hartford.

My fiancé and I saw two roaches scattering away as we were about to sit down. Ofcourse we quickly left.I’ve also been told that they once had served someone with a bandaid in their food!!! My daughter has been begging us to come here which is the only reason we came .I’m sure the only reason for decent comments and reviews is because they have not seen the roaches……They are going down under anyways which is probably the reasoning for the all you can eat option!Staff looked incredibly ghetto also. Slumped over the host stand area and not pleasant to look at. One of the employees were wearing sweats!Ridiculous!!!!SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY

Last time we came here was over the summer and it was excellent. The Hartford bag was $38 and came with an ample amount of food. Eggs, corn, sausage + the lobster tail, shrimp and scallops. This time I was extremely disappointed. The bag went up in price and they are now very stingy with their portions. Sausage was not included, they now charge an extra $5 for that, I got one single egg and 2 half pieces of potato. Previously I would need to un-buckle my belt at the end and this time around, I left still hungry. Not to mention you can't order it on the side, it has to be ordered at the beginning. Sad as I really enjoyed this place before they became very cheap with their portions. Although the quality is fantastic, not sure if I would return.
