Stopped in today with the family. First time and cannot say enough great things about the food, freshness, margaritas and service. 10 out of 10. ♥️
Always the best for food & service! Ambiance is lovely - outdoors & in. My Quesadilla Linda is the best anywhere! I'm always so pleased with Coyote Flaco. If you haven't tried it, you must! ?

Consistently good food and margaritas. My son had their Mexican take on skirt steak chimichurri, it was outstanding. Never had a bad meal and have tried much of their menu. It’s our go to Mexican restaurant in the area.

2024 edit: this place was already great and then took a serious step up with new ownership. Both beans are now vegan and they added huge salads, new entrees, and kept the margs cheap! This has become our new friends-in-town-go-to because of the variety and reliable service.
No vegetarian beans. :( << no longer true!!
Edit: they now have vegetarian beans and they are v. delicious. my regular is the enchilada oaxaca with black beans, though the black bean fajitas and flauta are also awesome!
$4 margs - hello! and they're strong.
the wait staff are super nice, they remember regulars and will make suggestions. food comes out fast, water stays full, and they do take out.
good for smallish groups, families, date night, and the patio is awesome in the summer. vegan and vegetarian options galore!

Food was great but the portions are not worth the money. They literally give you like a spoon full of rice with your plates. And 2 empanadas for an appetizer. Never again.

You must visit! This place is a treasure, with flavors that transport you to a Mexican Cantina.
You can taste the passion in every bite. This woman owned business offers something for everyone.
The menu offers so many wonderful dishes to choose from that will transform into a party in every bite!
Complimentary homemade salsa and chips are a great introduction and be sure to add a side of the delicious guacamole.
I had the pork chimichanga and enchiladas with refried beans and rice, my friend had the enchilada trio and a shrimp taco.
Everything was prepared to perfection! We chose to take part of our meals home so we could order flan for dessert, and it was a great decision!
The next day, I enjoyed leftovers that were just as delectable as the first bite in the restaurant.
Great meeting spot for a date, meeting or a night out with friends and if you want to stay in they offer takeout.
I would highly recommend and would quickly become a regular if I didn't live in PA, but I'll be back since it is easy access from 84 or 91 with its own parking lot.

Coyote Flaco has the most flavorful and freshest Mexican food I’ve had from miles around. And that’s including restaurants in San Diego.
