Was disappointed the tacos & chicken quesadilla were not even tasty no flavor what so ever seemed like they reheated the tortillas cause they were soggy and had a weird taste too it. Not even the churros were all that great was very sloppy when received.

inconspicuously situated in a small strip mall in South Franklin just south of Barker, this restaurant definitely serves food above the caliber of its outward appearance from the street. I am greeted upon entering by a qt3.14 mesera who after dealing with a customer who was ordering some ice cream (or something served out of a glass case ) I sat down and was served a basket of chips and two very well done salsas, a green avocado salsa , and a molcajete style red , thick and rather spicy .
I had the caldo de barbacoa, and a red pork tamale. the caldo de barbacoa which I would classify more as a estofada or guiso was a lamb and bean soup, with fairly strong flavor of marjoram I believe. really well done.
I am super pleased to have such a good Mexican restaurant in my neighborhood. I was a little concerned with moving to Hartford that finding good Mexican food would be an issue. that is not the case

Very disappointed in this place heard a lot of good things about it but the food was horrible no taste n seemed to be reheated tacos were damp and watery and the lady dint even offer to make a new order she brushed it off like she was proud no refund as well
The chicharrón taco was the worst thing I ever had in a Mexican restaurant. It was a dried out pork skin from a bag but wet. Chicharrón without the crunchyness 😔

Everything was very expensive and the food was also very cold.
Terrible.... I bought a Menudo soup and they actually brought me colored water and the Menudo without flavor without salt
My husband ordered an egg with nopal, also all tasteless. The cook at this restaurant really doesn't know how to cook, I can assure you from the other comments I see here.

I had horchata and the birria tacos and they were delicious! Only complaint is that the green tamale was as hard as a rock , not sure what happened there .

I had the tacos de chorizo and they were absolutely AMAZING! Can't wait to come back!
I'm grateful that a random craving and Google search led us to this lovely establishment! It is such a cute spot!! Everyone is friendly, full of smiles and jokes!! But y'all... THE FOOD..... THE. FOOD!! Is so good and flavorful. You don't even need the house made salsa, guac and sour cream but they sure don't take away from how fresh and delicious everything is. It really feels like someone's abuelita was in the kitchen working some magic. I tore those tacos up when we got home. Sorry I was so involved with my tacos that I forgot all about taking a picture. They hooked us up!!! I'm already planning a return trip!

Ordered take out. Big language barrier. Half of the order was missing when we picked up. I barely ate half a pork quesadilla when my stomach said STOP eating this... trashed. Do not eat here.
