My wife and I have been to the Brownstone a few times now, and the food is always consistently delicious. They used to have a meatball sandwich that was honestly one of my all time favorites, and I still miss it, but the current menu has plenty of great options. This time I had the chicken parm sandwich, and it was fantastic. My wife ordered the margarita pizza, and that was excellent as well.
The prices are some of the fairest around for the quality you get, and we have honestly never had a bad experience here. The drinks are poured generously and are very reasonably priced, which is always appreciated. Overall, great food, great value, and a place we are always happy to come back to.

My friend and I stopped by last Saturday and were ignored by the staff. The two of us were the only black women there so the lack of service was definitely rooted in racism. We were not greeted when we came in & after waiting at the front of the restaurant we sat at the bar. The bartender never said a word to us or gave us a menu so we left and spent our money elsewhere. We were excited to give this place a try so this experience was disappointing.

Never odering their pizza again. I ordered two large 18 inch pizzas and this is what I got. One measured 14 x 17 and the other measure of 15 x 17. So I’m thinking when they say 18 inches of pizza, I’m thinking since the pizza a circle is 18 inches around so it should be measuring 18 inches in any direction. When I call to complain about the size of the pizza per the cost of the pizza, they told me to send a photo and I did I sent these photos. The woman I spoke to on the phone reply was “yeah they do look kind of small but as you can see they’re 18 inches since they’re reaching almost to the edge of the box”so she said she could see I was missing about 2 inches of pizza on each slice or something like that. So she continued to then offer me to get two pizzas for $20 on Tuesdays. Which is their normal promotion. The idea that I can rectify the loss of pizza inches today, by ordering again on Tuesday is crazy talk. The AUDACITY!!! Lesson learned. Brownstone is a joke and their math is not “mathing “ . 😆😆😆😆I’m so done, never ordering again and you shouldn’t either save your self the trouble, $50, your time and get a whole pizza somewhere else.
I So I’m a dairy free girly I didn’t know where to go. I walked in with all my friends and thought that’s fine. I’ll just grab a glass of wine and not have food. All the pizza smells so good and all my friends got it. Then the owner was like why aren’t you eating and I was like well I’m dairy free and he’s like I could figure that out and then he made me one of the best dairy free pizzas I’ve ever had. Sauce roasted red pepper, peppers, veggies amazing.

There is this bartender with a bandanna who serves guys that are underage to drink and gives them free shots but is rude to girls. This bartender took my id even though it was real and showed my legal age, lied about me being 17 and not old enough to be there, and cursed in my face threatening me and my friend to not return. We never ordered a drink and wasn't planning to because we are not 21 we are both 19 and 20 and we go there to socialize. This bartender always gives me a hard time and is so disrespectful.

I have had a lot of pizza in Hartford but this is by far the BEST PIZZA IVE HAD!!! It’s absolutely amazing and the service/owners are amazing!!!
