I had the best time at Gather55 tonight. I ordered the prix fix meal($55)and it was delicious. I had the bolognese as the starter, and the pork Milanese for the main. The dessert did not disappoint. My server did an excellent job. I loved hearing about their mission. Truly, a wonderful dinner!

Gather 55 is a wonderful restaurant with an incredible "reason for being" and "reason for going". The food is delicious and creative and varied and keeps changing... all of which is very appreciated... most restaurants stick to their standard menu with some changing special dishes. The service is personal and attentive... very nice. I cannot comment on the "wine and beer" as I don't drink either of those. I can comment on their Cappuccino which is wonderful!!! But their "reason for being" is what most impresses me... having a restaurant for the sole purpose of "helping people who need help" is unique in my experience and makes me want to dine there very often. Not allowing "tips" to the servers, but allowing a "donation" to be made instead is exemplary on both the restaurant and server's part. I very much want to donate to help the people that this restaurant is helping. How could I not donate? I urge you to try this wonderful restaurant with a wonderful "reason for being".... if only there were more of them... My compliments to all people involved in this enterprise.
