Too demanding on Tips, threaten " no tips, no service".

Starting Sept 2024 there’s a new format for ordering. No more hot chicken wings made to order, only cold fried chicken parts that have been sitting out at the sauce bar. Order all you can eat and any ingredients you want, but if you can’t eat it all there’s no taking home leftovers. Server forgot our drinks. The restaurant was shorthanded so waiting for the check took 20 minutes. Gratuity was included already on the bill.

walked in and waited 5-10 minutes before anyone even acknowledged us. then he said it would be a 20 minute wait for them to clean a table. several tables empty but not clean. wont be going back.

My niece and I always split the bill even though I only ate some appetizers, so my niece left the tip. One of the staff members ran out to the car to me pointing to the receipts. Once I asked what was wrong with them. He replied why no tip, I said you were given a tip on one of the receipts for the entire bill( which was 10% percent of the bill). He walked away upset. I am extremely disappointed (to say the least)with him running out to us like we skipped out on the bill or didn’t pay. The service was not good, and has not been for a while, yet we still tipped but to him it was not enough. No way to treat your repeated customer who ALWAYS tip! Never Going Back Again!!!

Obsessed with this spot. We usually get a spicy broth and a less spicy broth and get a bunch of platters and spend a while experiencing the broth and freshly cooked food. We also love their apps — their chengdu dumplings, seven flavor wontons and their scallion pancakes are our go tos!

This was a TREAT!!! Zhang Jiwei (American name, Phillip!!) - was INCREDIBLE. He really took the time to explain to us how the process works (ordering your food and cooking it yourself). He was so thorough and really ensured we understood! He was also honest and let us know if we were over or under-ordering; that was really helpful!!
The food was DELICIOUS!!!! So so so many choices and really fresh. The broths were so flavorful. The meats were fresh and it was a fun place to eat !!!
I absolutely recommend this spot you guys, stop in for a really unique dining experience.

In this resteruant 22% tip is necessary. Or you will be yelled at the parking lot lol.
Honestly, we had almost given up finding a places to eat tonight and then my partner saw this place and, neither of us had done hot pot before so we decided to go for it and the bar has been set sooooo high. Every part of the evening and meal was amazing and the host/waiter walked us through things, helped us make dipping sauces and just made everything great. The food was so so so so soooooooo good. I live in Boston and this was a stop on the way back from seeing my family in CT and, honestly, I would drive the 1.5 from Boston to come back.
Vegetarian options: Vegan and they helped us get what we wanted/needed

I have to say the service is so bad. Is tip a must thing at this restaurant, and what’s the problem with the waitress? There was a time I and my boyfriend went there and we told the waitress there were 2 people. She rolled her eyes at us and said “of course I know”…???Excuse me? What is her problem? She looks like she likes to roll her eyes. If you have eye problems, go to see your doctor?. Also, because we were very unhappy with their service, we gave only 10% tips (actually we didn’t want to tip at all for the very bad attitude, but in order to be polite we still tipped 10%), then the old guy gave us attitude…??? They are so disgusting… I don’t tip if I’m not happy with your service. Is there any problem??? As a person from Sichuan (where hot pot comes from in China), I have to say the flavor and taste at this restaurant are bad actually. If there were any other choices in this county, I would never go there again.
