Island Cuisine Reviews
I was disappointed because the servings of food are not consistent, one server makes sure to ask what you need and the food is good but the next server the following week really disappoint the rice was swimming in gravy it was so bad that it looked like dog food and I guess she didn't care about great service because the oxtails had 6 of the smallest pieces of oxtails that I have seen; this was so disappointing it felt like I had begged for some food. WOW
I had my lunch from island cuisine today my j*** chicken was well seasoned whoever it's the new chefs you guys doing a good job....blessings!!

Island Cuisine offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere, with friendly and polite service. The cuisine is a highlight, with dishes such as the beef patty with coco bread and medium curry chicken with white rice and plantain receiving high praise. The restaurant also serves callaloo with food and fried fish. While prices have increased, the food remains delicious, with favorites including stew peas with pig tails, curry chicken, and oxtails. The oxtails are known for falling off the bone and flavorful sauce, making it a popular choice. Customers often enjoy the rice, which is cooked to perfection, and the small chicken soup that is described as "bussing." The beef patty is hot and flaky, though some find it too spicy. Service is consistently good, with staff treating guests with respect and remembering regular orders. Parking can be a challenge, but the restaurant's culinary offerings make it a popular destination. The restaurant also offers options for those with dietary restrictions, such as veggies with baked chicken, fish, or shrimp. However, some reviews mention inconsistency in food portions and quality, with occasional issues like rice swimming in gravy or small oxtail pieces, which can be disappointing. Overall, Island Cuisine remains a favorite for authentic Jamaican dishes and friendly service.
