First time trying this for lunch today. We used to drive 30 minutes for Caribbean food...now we found a place 10 minutes away! Wow, flavor explosion! Delicious j*** chicken and curry chicken platters with rice& peas as well as veggie medley. What a great place! We will definitely be back for more. Thank you!

The bourbon stew chicken wasn't flavorful nor was the J*** chicken. I will not be going there again.

The food was ok, Oxtail had a sweet taste that I didn't care for but seasoning was good. Need more options for meat but I still give it a 3, I would go back.

Sometimes I get bored and I randomly choose a spot from my local delivery app to try some new food. Sometimes it's a hit, but I've found that more often than not it's a miss. Karobean Kitchen is definitely a hit. Everything from the entrees to the sides were delicious and the portions were more than generous. I liked it so much, we ordered it again the next day! Definitely check out their j*** pork as it's some of the best in the area!

Absolutely one of my favorite soul food restaurants in the Hartford area. This Jamaican/ soul food takeout restaurant is located inside of a convience store. Everything is incredible, from the Oxtail, to the Curry and J*** Chicken. They fry the fish to order and the portion sizes are huge. For 12 or 13 dollars, you get enough for dinner and lunch the next day. Staff is always helpful. Definitely take the drive if you're ever in the Windsor area.

This is a food counter inside a convenient store. I think any chicken dish can be taken in a cheaper lunch special option with one side. I went for a j*** chicken with rice and peas and a side of fried plantains. J*** chicken was super flavorful, and nicely spicy. I would return just for the j*** chicken. Mango curry chicken was ok. Side of baked mac and cheese and candied yam were both ok. Candied yam cutely sits in the food counter topped with marshmallows. The sight is irresistible. But fried plantains are the best side.

Anyone in the East Windsor/Broad Brook area knows that we have a limited variety of food types, and if you're craving something other than pizza, burgers, or Chinese/Japanese food, you're basically stuck driving to Enfield, Manchester, East Hartford, or Springfield. When Karobean Kitchen opened I had to rush in to give it a try. I've been here quite a few times now and the food is incredible and priced right, and the guys working have always been very friendly. These guys know spice and it shows in the food. They do an incredible job balancing flavor and salt content - nothing here feels over-the-top salted. Don't overlook this place if you're looking for a change of pace from what the area offers.

I intended to order from this restaurant but wanted to check their reviews first. Based the discourteous manner of the managements responses to customer feedback I will not be giving them my business. Owning a business does not entitle you to customers, reputation matters. Who wants to eat from a place that breeds negativity.

Went on Thursday and they were closed… sort of a wasted trip.Your response as a business is very unprofessional! I arrive on Thursday at noon and was in the parking lot until about 12:40 trying to get lunch. So again I arrived and you weren’t open on time so as a business owner the appropriate thing would be to apologize for not being open on time or ask the potential customer what time they arrived instead of assume I was a customer who arrived before closing. I wouldn’t do that.
