Good riddance to this place. What once was a chill place to hang out and a great Japanese restaurant has turned into an unsavory and out of control night club with fights, shootings and a overall plague on the downtown area. As recently as last night when a brawl of 25 spilled onto the street with a shot being fired with HPD being called to quell. Living downtown I will be glad to see this place close it's doors. Though a previous favorite of mine it has sunk into a problematic venue which does the opposite of helping attract people to the downtown area which is finally coming back. Shame on the ownership for letting it end like this.

I came here with my friends before seeing an improve show for their happy hour. The prices were very reasonable for happy hour, drinks $3-$6 and food all $3. We were seated quickly and our orders were taken fast as well. The food and drinks were good and it was definitely a good time. They no longer have beer on top however and just do bottles. You also need to get street parking or the lot right across the street, which I believe is one of the most expensive in Hartford. Overall a good time.

One of my favorite places to enjoy an evening out in downtown Hartford. Great energy. Wish downtown had more places like this.

The drinks are terrible but the atmosphere was fun and friendly. Food was delish and music was hype. But fix those drinks.

Omg... Love this place. This is the best place to be to unwind, no drama, good food, drinks are top notch and music is always jamming. No other bar can compare. The owner is super nice too.

This place was a cute little hidden gem! We went during there happy hour from 5-7. However when we arrived the door was closed at 5:30. The lady came out and told us they were short staff unexpectedly which we said was okay but can we still come in. Which she said yes the kitchen however is not open for sushi till after happy hour. We were willing to pay full price however sushi was not an option till after 7. So we ended up ordering crab Rangoon which wasn't crunchy like your typically crab Rangoon and got their fried rice which wasn't so bad and their drinks on the Happy Hour were too sweet to my likening.

I wouldn't recommend going here if you're looking for sushi. The food menu doesn't offer much. Edamame was partially frozen still, and all the "sushi" is cooked or Tempura fried. There was one waitress, who was not really attentive. The upside? The prices are decent.

Have been looking for good sushi in downtown Hartford! Atmosphere was upbeat and sushi was great! Appetizers were awesome (especially the Shumai). Would definitely recommend!

Over the years Koji has become a favorite place of mine for many reasons. I was first introduced to Koji about seven years by a friend who lived downtown. Since that first encounter, their espresso martinis have kept me coming back for more! Koji is a small, chill spot located in the heart of downtown. What I love most about Koji is the memories that I have made there over the years. The staff is always very pleasant and welcoming. Even the owner embraces new and old faces alike. The happy hour at Koji is great, it is one of the better happy hours in downtown .The variety of food and drink will sure satisfy any appetite. Plus, the value is so worth it! My love of Koji has grown over the years. I still admire how they use freshly brewed espresso in their espresso martinis, which makes a world of a difference in terms of the quality and taste. The food is always delicious and the staff is just as great. Koji is a great spot to meet up with the girls for a drink or to catch up with friends. No matter what the occasion may be, stop in!

delicious! One of my go-tos in the Hartford area with it's great Happy Hour and late night menu. The kitchen is open late and the noodles always hit the spot.

They need to clean up the outside. Always littered with garbage , Windows dirty , just doesn't look appealing. Once inside it is ok but the outside needs work. The food here is not bad , scorpion bowl pretty good, and overall is a good Asian spot to go and chill. If you want drinks and sushi on the Cheaper side relative to other options nearby, this is good.

If zero was an option, that would be the rating for their new location in new haven. Totally TRAGIC - the music is glow stick ready and the crowd is orange and divorced. Boo!

Have been frequenting Koji for a few years now. I first went in a few years back for a DJ it was such a good time. What I will say is anytime of day Koji has the best eats in Hartford amazing nightlife too. The Expresso martini is top notch you must try!
