Sometimes it's good to have your taste buds try something new. Las tortaz is one of the many restaurants at Parkville Market in Hartford. Workers are very professional and prepare orders promptly. A wide variety of Tack options are offered and they have deals where you can get 3 Tacos for $10 or 5 Tacos for $15. There is also the option to make your Tacos loaded with lettuce, cheese, tomato, avocado, and crema. The tacos were very mouth-watering and I couldn't even eat all 3 so I had leftovers. A great place to celebrate your Taco Tuesday if you are ever in the Hart

Las Tortas MX is in a great location inside Parkville Market. Fairly quick service and food was hot. Big disappointment was the Milanesa Sandwich. Barely visible, super thin piece of meat. You're essentially paying for a bread sandwich. Tacos were tasty, but also a bit skimpy on the meat filling. Good flavors but pricey for what you get.

Seen a guy walking with some delicious looking food and followed him to Las Tortas MX, turns out he worked there. Then I seen the picture on their menu board! Told him to give me what was in the picture without the crema. Thought they were nachos but it turned out to be Tostadas & Sopes. They tasted just as amazing as they looked! Really don't know what else they have to offer, but if this is any indication of their what their main entrees are like, I am excited to eat here again!

Excellent delicious.

My biggest regret here was thinking that 3 loaded tacos would be enough to satisfy me, when clearly I should have had a variety of 5. There was a bit of a wait for mine, but they were ready sooner than quoted. The ingredients were all fresh; I appreciated the strong cilantro presence and the lime wedges, but would have liked slightly more meat in some of the tacos. Cheese was plentiful. Both sauces went well with my tacos.

Best tacos I’ve found so far in the north!

The carne asada 3 for $10 tacos are fresh and tasty. It is my go to here. The restaurant loses one point for the elote. I would prefer to have elote on a stick and to have more cotija cheese.Parking: Plenty of parking here!

Annoying how the vegetarian plate is the same price as a meat plate. Should always be cheaper.

I ordered Carne asada, shrimp and adodaba tacos . Those were great and flavorful.Had milanese torta and that's in spot as well.

I ordered a "mangonada" and waited almost 15 minutes for pieces of lukewarm mango covered in tajin and chamoy. On the televisions with the menu it showed ice cream but when I got my sad mangonada it looked nothing like what it was supposed to. I go ask why mine looked so different and they said they ran out. Mind you, no one told me at the register and yet they still had no problem charging me $8 for a barely filled cup with sad pieces of mango. The worst part is they still included the straw for god knows what reason. BOTH locations (New Britain) staff members were hella rude and acted like they were doing you a favor. No thanks.

Since I drove all the way up to the Yelp event at Meltdown, I thought I'd give another vendor a try as well. I've been meaning to try Las Tortas for quite some time so I opted for some carne asada tacos to go. I have to be honest, when I opened the container when I arrived home, I was underwhelmed. The tacos did not appear to be anything special. But, as they say, looks can be deceiving. The tacos were absolutely on point delicious. The seasoning on the beef was mouth watering aided by the fact the steak was perfectly cooked. There were two sauces: a green one and a red one. The green one added a nice little zing. I tried the red one but found it to be too aggressively spicy for me. But if you like heat, it might be for you.All in all, I'm so glad I decided to give Las Tortas a try. I already cannot wait to return to try more.
