So lucky I was working nearby and could scoop some good vegan food here! I like the pricing: pay for the size of the waxed cardboard takeout box and they stuff it with food. Quick to order and get on with my afternoon. I chose BBQ tofu, steamed veg and veg rice. Rice is spiced, delish, and I was glad to have the BBQ sauce cuz the steamed vegetables is plain. Great lunch, great price! No seating here, just take-out.

Lions Den is now at Parkville Market on Park Street in Hartford. So awesome to finally have vegan food there again!! Our most recent visit we got 2 Jamaican Pattie’s, ackee and vegan chicken. We also got stuffed plantain bowls with curried chickpeas and with mixed veggies, and we also had fried mushrooms with sweet chili sauce. Everything was delicious and freshly made. The prices are very reasonable. Since food is made freshly, expect to wait for your order, it’s well worth the wait!
Also, all options appeared to be fully vegan to me so I’m not sure why there aren’t listed as Vegan (I would have given 5 stars)

Just walked in and both ladies continued their conversation and said nothing to me. I said hi and they both just looked at me. I asked “can you tell me what’s vegan?” She said “everything” and continued her convo. Very rude facial expressions and no sense of welcoming a consumer coming to spend money in their establishment. I will never come here nor would I recommend if you’re looking to be welcomed with any sort of customer service

Excellent food at very reasonable prices. There is a lot to choose from but Leandra was incredibly helpful assisting with my selection as I stood there like a deer in the headlights trying to figure out what to bring home. Good vibes all around. Will definitely be back. ?
