O rating ---Caution---...DO NOT place your orders on-line through Parrilas y Sabores website. Apparently they use a 3rd party company called Fox Ordering to handle and manager their on-line Ordering. I placed an order on 04/25/2026 on-line through their website and it prompted me to artive to pick up order at 740pm. When I arrived to restaurant I was told that there was no order in my name placed. They stated that their on-line Ordering table system was down and not working. I was given such a hard time as I disputed and presented proof of order, proof of payment and also proof that my bank card was charged. The restaurant said that I need to contact Fox Ordering directly to cancel the order and request a refund. This was insane and bad business. I advised that I will contact the Better Business Bureau and consumer report to file complaint again Parrilas y Sabores on Franklin Ave, Hartford. CT. This was a humiliation and total embarrassment for me in front of restaurant staff and dining customer. The male co-owner was called and he was extremely rude with me over the phone, insensitive and noncooperative with the situation. Bad Business.

Overpriced food. The patacon looked like mashed potatos. Flavor was average but watered down. The place had a weird music really loud, I am Colombian and never heard whatever they were blasting on the speakers. Really off vibes but i guess it goes with south Hartford. Service was non existent there, sever was not nice but you couldnt hear from the loud music. Overall poor experience and poor food presentation.

I use to love this place I would come a few times a year with my mother who is well into senior years and my daughter. My daughter was 9months into her pregnancy and the staff was very rude to us every time my mom asked asked the waitress for some thing she would roll her eyes I asked her to clean the table she rolled her eyes again did a poor job I asked her to hand me the rag so that I could do it myself and she was upset after our table was ignored for 15 minutes my mom flagged her down and she told my mom she wasn’t our waitress but no one ever said they will be right with us soon. So me my mother and my daughter who was pregnant and carrying her one year old left. I can’t believe how poor we were treated I felt very sad me or my family didn’t deserve this I will not be driving 45 minutes ever again to this establishment. Terrible customer service please retrain staff

Although this place has good food. Specially the Banderas paisa. I have to admit. I was a bit shocked at the service fee. Its like charging for eating at their restaurant. First time experience for me. Kind of unfortunate as it is 15% of what ever you consume..wa there with a friends. Between food and drinks it was a pretty decent and hefty bill. Which we were okay with. It was just the 15% service charge. Might consider a new Colombian restaurant.
But food wise, 5 out 5.

Food was delicious ordered a bandeja Paisa, frigoles delicious but had to order an extra portion because it was not enough frigoles on the plate. That cost me an extra $8 😒 a bit too much but the taste was there. Also, the empanadas were on point, crunchy, full of filling, and the aji was amazing. I order the beef and the bocadillo with cheese.. great taste. I would have to say that the place need to be updated and maintain. Its got the potential but tables shouldnt be wabblely and the title shouldn't be uneven or disheveled. Lastly, there was only one waiter, she was nice but only her taking care of customer was too much. At the beginning the music was too low and it felt like an abandoned place. Then other customers came in and asked for better music and then it was better!!

I had a bad experience in this restaurant, the manager was very rude and disrespectful to us, was simple we just asked for menu When already seated at the table, the waiter show up at the table with the menus and after that manager showed up at the table arguing us and was telling why I went to the counter ask for Menu we already had 5-7 minutes at the table waiting for waiter and menu. Please stay away of this place. You deserve a better place!!
Poor service, the waitress wasn’t helpful, couldn’t enjoy the appetiser because it was serve all together with the meal. I was even charged for gratuity when there was only 3 adults and 1 child, I thought a gratuity was 6 and over WILL NOt PLAN ON GOING AGAIN
