Our meal was delicious and the service was super. A perfect pre Bushnell spot to enjoy a meal.
The food is very delicious. The service is very good. Unfortunately the kitchen was very slow!
We did a pre bushnell dinner. Food was great, servers were lovely. So busy we were down to the wire for time but it all worked out 💛
We were married in the restaurant 10 years ago. The ownership has changed. Fortunately, the high quality of the food has survived and perhaps even improved. We (a table of 5) enjoyed great service, wonderful specials (stuffed zucchini blossoms and a mushroom dish) as well as several great picks off the menu. Several of our guest are vegetarians and they were thrilled with the options. Delighted to say that Gaja Promis (Red Italian wine) was on the menu at a fair price. That is what we served at our wedding. We haven't been to Peppercorn's in a while. Guaranteed we will be back soon
I took friends to celebrate them buying a condo through me and we all enjoyed it . The food was excellent and the service was outstanding . There was some communication issues due to allergies . (one person did not expect strawberries on her salad ) but overall the server did a great job talking about ingredients in each order . So tricky with all the allergies these days . I was glad to see you all were so busy .
Food was good. The experience was on New Year's Eve. Would like to return and see how it is on a regular operating hours.
Another great meal and experience! Peppercorns didn't miss a beat for our table of 13 even on a very busy New Year's Eve.
Peppercorns Grill in Hartford feels like a little slice of Little Italy warm, cozy, and full of flavor. The food is rich and comforting, the vibes are intimate, and it's the kind of place where you want to sit back, relax, and enjoy every bite. 🍝🇮🇹
First time booking a reservation here on a friend's recommendation to catch up with old friends: When first walking in, the ambience is great as you are treated to a beautiful mural covering all the walls, transporting you to an old-time Italian town. The staff were very friendly and the lady serving us answered all our questions regarding the menu very kindly. Throughout our night, the staff were very attentive in general, and we were never waiting for anything. The menu has great options, and the seasonal specials looked very unique and eye-catching. We opted for the seasonal special fig appetizer and meatballs to start, as well as our drinks. Drinks came promptly, and we received our first round of food very shortly. The meatballs were piping hot and properly cooked, and the figs were absolutely fantastic and definitely the highlight of our night. For an entrée,I opted for the Chilean Sea Bass special, and my friends both opted for different pasta dishes. The Chilean sea bass was cooked to perfection - crisp on the outside and super soft on the inside, and the sauce that it came with was sweet and delicious. The pastas my friends got looked delicious too. Everything we ordered was plated to exemplify a luxurious experience. The only bad part of the night was that we were so full we couldn't try any desserts! But I'm confident to say that after eating the main menu options, the desserts would match the extremely good quality. I would highly recommend this restaurant for any fancy occasion and will definitely be booking a reservation again. Please try the figs! They also have a private dining hall for bigger parties.
— First time here... and definitely the last. My experience at Peppercorn Grille was extremely disappointing from start to finish. We sat down and it took 10 minutes just to get waters. When I asked for a happy hour menu, the staff wasn't even sure if they had one — they had to go ask around. I ordered a house red wine and a nutty old fashioned, and we waited... and waited. Our drinks didn't arrive until the same time as our appetizers — 30 minutes after sitting down. We ordered the baby artichokes, beef carpaccio, and caprese salad, and not a single dish came out as described on the menu. The baby artichokes, which were supposed to be hot, were completely cold. Everything was either overly salty, bland, or just not prepared correctly. The drinks were even worse. The wine tasted stale and flat — more like pink noir than pinot noir — and the old fashioned was genuinely nasty. I don't know how you mess up such a basic cocktail, but they managed to. We barely had two sips of either drink before pushing them aside. Nasty food, terrible cocktails, and overall just a huge letdown. What makes it even more surprising is that they had plenty of staff, yet service was still slow and disorganized. I rarely ever leave bad reviews — I always try to find something positive — but this was truly disappointing in every way.

Amazing food and great service! If you're going to a show at the Bushnell come here to eat! Food came out very fast.
A nice easy walk from the Bushnell! We arrived a little early but they seated us immediately anyway! The ambiance is warm and cozy even though the space is large. The wait staff is very proud of the history of the restaurant and before ordering they tell you that the same chef has been in the kitchen from the start!! Very impressive!! The food was fantastic! I had the pumpkin ravioli! Sweet and savory! My only complaint is I should have ordered double because it was that good!! Others had the bolognese which looked incredible. The short ribs looked fantastic!! Again, no complaints or any comments because they were so busy enjoying the dish. We will most definitely be making this part of our theatre experiences from now on! Bueno!!
Overall, an amazing experience. Pace of service and attention to detail was spot on. A bit of confusion during the check-in process for our reservation, but all was properly sorted out. Food was appropriately portioned, and of top-notch quality. Noise-levels and acoustics were a minor problem, but with the amount of people dining, it is understandable. Will definitely be back again.
Chef Dino is an artist. The wait staff was extremely friendly and efficient. It was an excellent experience.
I thought it was great. I had Osso Bucco and my wife had the ricotta filled ravioli in an orange , butter and sage sauce. Both were great and the pistachio cake with chocolate ganache was even better. On our way home my wife said, “ I would like to go back and have that same meal right now again.” I agree
