We had a very nice lunch with our two adult children who were in for Thanksgiving. Our server Heather G. Could not have been nicer and helpful. We spilt salads which were a good portion. All of us got pasta entrees which were delicious and good portions. We all ordered a cappuccino for dessert and were given delicious complimentary biscotti’s. When in town again, we will definitely revisit.

This was our 1st time to Hartford and we were really looking forward to our dinner at Salute due to the reviews. It truly was excellent. It has a cozy atmosphere with friendly and knowledgeable staff. Our server, Raphael, was so helpful with recommendations and we were so happy with our food (the cheese bread, rose pasta, lasagna and espresso martinis were outstanding!). We met Mrs. C (an owner) who was gracious and engaging. It appears that their lunch specials and happy hour specials are quite a deal. As restaurant owners ourselves, we would highly recommend Salute and look forward to our return.

This place was absolutely lovely. The staff greeted us with warm welcome, the atmosphere was immaculate, and the food, oh the food. Wonderful. One of the best chicken parms I've ever had, the gnocchi, my girlfriend loved, as well as the filet mignon. A very charming little slice, this place is.
Wow! This was our first time at Salute, as we are from out of town, and it did not disappoint! The staff were superb and made us feel extra special since we were celebrating our anniversary! Portions were huge, food was delicious, atmosphere was lovely. Special shoutout to our server Michelle who went above and beyond and was so wonderful!

I typically do not write restaurant reviews, but we are still bothered by our experience with our waitress. Today at lunch we visited this place for the awesome reviews, being out of state-it sounded amazing. Heather G was our waitress. My husband kindly asked to split our checks. We had 2 families (6 people total-only 4 ate) Therefore 2 checks. My MIL/FIL shared a dish. She was very rude about it. Rolled her eyes, and said “yes, I guess I can do that.” Continued to take our orders in a very rudely manner. I looked at my husband with a shocking expression. That completely set the tone for lunch. We were quite upset with the attitude she displayed. She brought the food out, did not make anymore remarks, had a high pitched “kind” demeanor for the remainder of our service. My SIL said she was not eating very kindly. The waitress said “oh well okay then, you are not eating.” She said it in a very rude tone. I enjoyed my Mac and cheese with shrimp. Although I am giving it a 1 star. This is not how you treat people. You treat them with kindness and respect. Our table was very kind, despite the fact that she was very rude when taking our orders. She should have not gotten bothered by the fact that we were splitting the tab In 2. Especially when we typically like to tip our waitresses well, since they do a lot of hard work. Although this service was undeserving of 20% or more. Not to mention gnats flying around. For a so called prestigious restaurant, the owner needs a reality check into the staff he is hiring to serve his paying customers. What a shame. We did not make a fuss about it, since we will never be coming back. I just wanted everyone else to be aware of our experience.

It was worth the travel, people of the restaurant were full of hospitality and warmth. It meant so much as we had traveled some distance to visit. James was absolutely fantastic!! My friend Mia and I came in before our 21 pilots concert. We had a blast, and James made great recommendations! Someone else suggested we share a dinner, since the portions were so big and we couldn’t bring them to the concert, so sweet and considerate! We had the 8oz filet minion that had a delicious smoky flavor, and the chicken gnocchi was delicious as well!! We split an espresso martini as well and James had it split into two separate glasses for us along with our dinner as well! Will definitely come back if ever in the area!
What a special place. The food, the atmosphere, the owners. This place is top notch all around. You feel like you came to a friend's house for dinner. Staff is a well oiled machine. I have been coming here for almost a decade and have never been disappointed.

My family and I stumbled upon this via a google search after being disappointed from a nearby event and they truly changed the trajectory of our night. The food was wonderful and the hospitality was second to none in the times we’re in. They sent us home with much more than we ordered, and handled anything we needed with care. If you’re thinking of dining here, I would highly recommend!

My family and I came in after my son’s baptism and had such a lovely experience. I had been corresponding with the owner, Jimmy, for some time prior to our visit due to us having a larger party and needing to come in a bit earlier than the restaurant opening time and he was so accommodating. He was such an amazing host, friendly, attentive and kind to his staff. He gave our son a gift towards his college fund for his baptism and sent us all home with a loaf of the “almost famous” garlic bread. The food was also so delicious which was a plus. This is the type of business I enjoy supporting and we will definitely be back here to celebrate other occasions. We highly recommend Salute!
