The Flying Monkey Grill & Bar

Had the pleasure of dining at The Flying Monkey Grill Bar recently, and our experience was elevated thanks to our waitress, Maggie. She greeted us with a warm smile and provided impeccable service—fast, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable. Her recommendations for both food and drinks were spot-on, making our meal even more enjoyable. As always, the Filet Mignon and New York steaks were cooked to perfection—tender, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. The Butternut Bisque soup was a delightful start to the meal, rich and comforting. Maggie’s attentive and welcoming service truly made the night special. Looking forward to our next visit!

The food and service were excellent. The wings were large and delicious with many varieties to choose from. The cocktails were mixed perfectly with a good pour, we tried a few of the BAM and seasonal drinks around the table, will try others at next visit. Some main dishes worth mention were Asian lo mein, bourbon salmon, and the no monkeying around casserole. We were too full for dessert! Will definitely return, the setting is unique and fun and everyone from the hostess to the food runner was friendly and helpful.

Got there on Saturday around noon. Grabbed seats at the bar, nobody acknowledged us and nobody behind the bar. Bartender came out, dropped food to another customer and still didn't acknowledge me. Sat there for 10 minutes before walking out and going to The Shed in Windsor. Never again

Service is terrible, staff rude hour and 30 minutes sitting at table with zero food and drinks. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone

It was incredibly busy. We had a reservation at 515. Sat promptly. Took 15 min for waitress to come over, ordered everything at 534 -food and drinks. Got apps at 550, still no drinks. Got drinks at 620. Still missing 1 beverage. Got it at 635. Asked manager where our food was as we ordered over an hour ago. He came over with a receipt of some sort and basically accused me of lying and said we placed dinner order at 615. We did not. He then disappeared to check on our food. Never came back. Got another manager as we had to leave by 7 for another reservation and paid for drinks and apps and left. I will never go back after the service and the way I was treated as if I was lying because the waitress never put our dinner order in until 615.

We stopped here for lunch, we had never been before so we wanted to try something new. The wings are so good!! Nice big wings too not just little baby wings. The service was great too! I'm blanking on the waitresses name but she was super nice and attentive. We will be back!

I go pretty often every time I go the food is good the service is awesome the owner is immaculate he greets every single table is what I love when someone is interacting with their customers what a warm and welcoming feeling that is and it makes you enjoy the place even more

Great Restaurant. Stopped in for lunch over the weekend. We ordered the hot honey chicken sandwich, and it was delicious! We thought the prices were a bit steep - 2 sandwiches (comes with fries) and 2 sodas was over $50 after tax and tip. Food and service was good though!

Food was ok. A little on the overpriced side. What drove the review down was we split the tab with friends who said they’d get the tip. When we checked our bank account, we noticed we were charged about $15 over what we had signed off on. The manager said the computer system will randomly over charge people. That seemed kind of fishy. Either way, we won’t be going back again. And keep an eye on your bank account after your visit.

We made reservations. 20 minutes after our time we had to ask about our table while other people were seated. We finally got seated in the bar and we asked for the restaurant bc it was loud and we weee told too bad. Staff was beyond rude. We didn’t make reservations for the bar. They just overlooked us. We walked out

The Flying Monkey is an absolute gem for a perfect date night. The service is consistently excellent, making you feel right at home from the moment you walk in. The food? Simply delicious. I’m a huge fan of their steak—it’s always cooked to perfection, tender, and bursting with flavor. My wife can't get enough of their tacos; they’re fresh, flavorful, and the perfect mix of textures. Add to that some fun music that sets a lively yet relaxed atmosphere, and you’ve got a spot we keep coming back to. Whether you're in the mood for a hearty steak or some mouthwatering tacos, The Flying Monkey delivers every time. Highly recommend!

Bar service was sub par, however, the food was delicious. The cocktail menu was impressive, and prices were fair. Recommended.
