We were early for our reservation and they kindly welcomed us to a table. Our waiter was friendly and when I told him we had never been there and asked him to tell us about the menu he very happily obliged. He was also eager to share his favorites on the menu when asked. The food was fresh, hot and had a very nice presentation. We would definitely recommend and/or return there when in Hartford CT again.

I like loud restaurants - high energy and fun - however I couldn't hear the person next to me with screaming. My ears were ringing when we stepped outside. The long table next to us was particularly loud as was the bar scene. Not sure what can be done about this but it makes me hesitate to go again.

Service was impeccable. The cheese bread and Nonna's eggplant are fabulous. Broccoli rabe and sausage app is wonderful. We all tried many dishes and were not disappointed. Will return.

Food was sooo good! Started off with the Annies Pie from our server's recommendation along with the cauliflower. Both were amazing! Then split some amazing Pasta!! Nikki was the best server ever!!

A most wonderful date to Hartford for dinner and a show. Our gentleman server was very social and engaging. The restaurant was not overly crowded as not much else was happening in Hartford. The food, from Dish bread to entrees with fresh made pasta was fabulous. Highly recommend especially on a quiet Wednesday evening!!

The food is absolutely incredible!! Best chicken parm I've ever had and my husband had the chicken Marsala which was unlike any traditional chicken marsala and he said it was the best he'd ever had! We will definitely be going back.

This meal was some of the best pasta I have had in years. Best squid ink pasta I've had outside of Italy. Fantastic toasted almond ice cream, got it as an affogato with decaf espresso - it was out of this world! I don't live anywhere near Hartford but I would consider a trip just for this meal.

Had had a previous experience at Sorella that was fine. Last night, however, was less than optimal. Primarily because of the service - it wasn't bad, it wasn't good - the thing was it hardly existed. Not sure our server could have been more indifferent. Table was tiny. Okay, that's failry common. Was surprised us was how very quickly we were served our food - a personal-sized pizza and pasta with bolognese. No way the kitchen can get it ready so quickly - makes you wonder if everything is pre-prepped. Anyway, pretty mediocre all in all.

Food was very good! Homemade pastas and delicious sauces - chicken Marsala was tender and tasty, with nice fresh mushroom gravy. Wait staff were great. Noise level over the top - and it wasn't even that crowded. Ppl yelling and whooping it up for their birthdays. Kind of annoying. Keep in mind you're in a public restaurant, not your own home, and don't disturb others.

Not the first time dining here. Convenient to theater. Pretty loud space. Waiter was fine but we paced the dinner by ordering each course.... Calamari was ok. Sauces were great but rest of dish uneven. Salad way overdressed. Pasta entrees large portioned but one overly salted, the other bland except for top of the bowl.

Sorella's is one of our “go to” places in downtown Hartford. We've been there many times and have never been disappointed. The food is good, the service is good and you can't beat the location. Give it a try.

Easy to make reservation on line. Seated immediately upon arrival. Waiter took good care of us. Food was brought out in a timely fashion. Our dinners were delicious. We had a great dinner and then went to a great show at Hartford Stage Company, a half a block away. Great date night!

Excellent Food & Service~ dined at Sorella on a busy weeknight the we had calamari as an appetizer and it was some of the best calamari we've had love the cherry peppers thrown in. For our meals we had the salmon w spaghetti squash & the ravioli. Lisa took care of us, she gave great recommendations and was super sweet and funny. We will return again!

Server was a bit out of it. Food came so fast and we ate and he was like “ok All set for tonight” and we were like ummmm dessert menu? Felt like he was trying to kick us out. He also said the flourless chocolate torte was NOT gluten free which was disappointing. No clue what else in it could contain gluten.. he also took my drink when I was halfway done but realized the mistake and returned it. Weird experience and not what I was expecting for New Year's Eve..

Great food and service. Have been coming here often for a few years. This time it was for New Year's Eve. It was crowded, but nevertheless, the service was very good as the restaurant was very well staffed. The food was excellent as always.
