I have been eye balling this food truck for some time debating on trying it out but yesterday I decided to give it a try seen as I love Guyanese food I grew up on it my brother in-laws family is Guyanese and I absolutely love there food. But I was a little saddened that it didn't have all the flavors I hoped for it was a little bland tasting I'm so used to the bold spices. I'm willing to try it again maybe something different and see if I get a better experience the next time.. overall very nice people and service didn't have to wait long for my order. Prices are a little high.

My mom (vegan) and I (vegetarian) tried the veggie platter today from The Rolling Roti’s food truck while they were in town and it was absolutely delicious! So filling and so tasty! I felt like $20 each was well worth all the amazing food we got! Can’t wait to try out some other menu items sometime!

Vegetarian options: Veggie platter (I had eggplant/potato curry, chickpeas, pumpkin curry, and potato curry over rice)

For anyone considering eating here, I just want to say Google is free and do research about Guyanese food before leaving a review. Because this food was authentic, delicious, and plentiful--any real Guyanese knows it.

We ordered goat curry, veggie plate (spinach, channa, double okra instead of potatoes), roti, beef bowl, and chowmein with jerk chicken. The goat curry was perfectly cooked. It had a beautiful blend of spices and soaked wonderfully in the roti. The meat was halal and fresh, and it was coming right off the bones as it should be. The salad that came with the chowmein had a delicious homemade dressing, and the jerk chicken was nice and spicy.

We had the food with pepper sauce on the side so we can control the spice, but you have to ask for the pepper. The roti?? Ooh I got emotional eating that roti it was so good. Light and flaky, but not too much. Held the food and sopped up all the flavor. Had an extra piece with tea later in the night.

100% will visit again ??✨️

In South Florida, there were a handful of Guyanese restaurants and most were good. I was at the Taste of the Caribbean and Jerk Festival located in Mortenson Riverwalk Plaza. There were a bunch of food trucks and vendors. I saw this food truck and was super excited because I love Guyanese cuisine. Also, I've never seen a Guyanese food truck before.

I ordered the beef curry over white rice; halal boneless cubed beef in curry with mixed spices with onion and garlic. I wanted to like it but it was very underwhelming and flavorless. I'm used to the robust flavor burst of curry so this was disappointing. Maybe I'll try another menu item and report back, if I come across them again.

Food is comforting, service was genuine and was quick and easy to eat. Also gave heads up on bone in goat and allergies for those who are unaware.

IT’S VERY SAD THAT EVEN BEFORE TRYING THE FOOD I HAVE TO LEAVE A BAD REVIEW. FIRSTLY, THERE IS NO PROPER ADDRESS LISTED ON THE WEBSITE, NO BUILDING NUMBER & WORSE OF ALL NO ONE ANSWERS THE PHONE! I SPENT OVER AN HOUR TRYING TO FIND THIS PLACE WHICH IS ONLY 15 MINS AWAY FRM MY HOME ACCORDING TO WAZE. HORRIBLE FOR BUSINESS - JUST HORRIBLE. I NEEDED 200 ROTI SKINS FOR AN EVENT BUT SADLY ROLLING ROTI IS/WAS NOT AVAILABLE ?

I was very excited to hear about this truck. Thinking I won't have to wait to go to NY to buy some real west indian roti. Tried the roti for the 1st time and the dough was undercooked ( stretched when pulling it apart) the food was ok at the very best. Overpriced, and well I havent been back since. I guess I would still be driving to NY

I paid $18 for this. This is crazy it’s so small and can fit in my hands. Never again. It’s over priced and not worth it.

Nice Halal Guyanese food truck and the food is prepared by a Guyanese couple. Authentic food prepared right on the spot. Follow them on IG (therollingroti) to know where they are park/sometimes they move abt bcz of events etc but they usually park by (Wadsworth Museum Hartford). Just drive around the museum and you will find them. The top food is the j*** chicken chowmein in our opinion. Amazing sour sop drink too. Oh yea, try the eggball and poulourie too. Will try again.

Vegetarian options: Halal and vegetarian options too

I really wanted to like this more, but the issues here really boiled down to the safety hazards of small bones.I’d never tried Guyanese food but I was really interested in the combination between Indian and Carribean flavors. I tried the Goat Curry on a roti because you seldom find goat, and it can be quite tasty. The spices were pretty good, but there wasn’t any heat. He said he’d include hot sauce but didn’t. No biggie. The roti was fresh but lacked flavor. I’m not sure how roti is typically (it was my first time trying it) but I think a bit of salt in it would’ve helped! The main issue was the goat. My meal contained three times as much bones as meat. There was literally only about three bites of meat. Not only that, many of these bones were extremely small and sharp. This was almost $20 for one food truck meal! Can you imagine the medical fees you might get after swallowing a bone that’s shaped like a nail (I had one in my food)? Or of crunching one between your teeth and chipping a tooth? I wish I’d taken photos but I was with friends and trying to have a good time.Sometimes there are bones in food, that’s okay. What is not okay is 75% bones, 25% meat. What is also not okay is sharp, dangerous bones in each bite. Buy more expensive cuts of goat, or remove it from the menu! It’s not safe and you might hurt someone who is just trying to be adventurous and enjoy something unique.

By far, one the best Puri chicken roti I’ve ever had. The best part is that they’re making the roti one the spot so it’s nice and hot. I must say it was one of the softest tastiest roti’s I’ve ever had. I live in Norwich CT which is about 50 minutes away but I would make that drive for that Puri!
