Service was so slow. 57 minutes from ordering to food delivery for the four people at our table. Delay Most likely attributed to a large party that was seated near us, but I missed a meeting due to the delay.
Hostesses were awesome. Full of energy, engaging and helpful Service was a tad slow, but did not diminish the enjoyment of the food and ambiance Worth a try , food was great Whipped ricotta toast was amazing
One of our favorite restaurants! Service was outstanding from great recommendations to the manager hand writing us a card for our anniversary. Food is and has been always tremendous. We love the variety of the menu and it does change seasonally. We can't wait to go back very soon!
The event on Thursday night was magical. The food, creative cocktails, and service blended seamlessly into a wonderful experience. Great job to all. Go to TK! You will not be disappointed.
Great time , wonderful energy , the staff was very inviting and positive... always perfect
We went to Trumbull Kitchen for my girlfriend's birthday and it was a great experience. From the moment we walked in the hostess was very warm and friendly and greeted us with a birthday card. Service was excellent--attentive, and knowledgable about the menu. Our server took time to talk interact with us and other tables, which continued the welcoming experience. The decor payed homage to local culture, including posters from the Hartford stage, which gave the place a classy feel. Food itself was amazing. We ordered the tuna tataki special small plate and the rock shrimp fritters, which are on the regular menu. Fritters were honestly one of my favorite things I've eaten at a restaurant this year--truly delicious. For dinner we had the Hanger Steak and Skirt Steak--both steak dishes were distinct, cooked perfectly, and very flavorful. Delicious! We did not have dessert, but were presented with a birthday ice cream courtesy of the kitchen. This place did everything to earn a recommendation and a future visit! Thank you!
Trumbull kitchen is always a good bet. The food is very good, and it's very consistent unlike many other restaurants. I. had the halibut with risotto which is relatively new on the menu. It was very good. We didn't have time to stay for dessert, but I highly recommend the fruit crisp. The fruit is still firm, and it isn't too sweet. The topping is wonderful.
The last time I came here the food/experience was outstanding so I decided to treat my dad to a Father's Day lunch. The 4 people in our party ordered 2 halibuts, tar tar tuna, & marinated steak. One halibut was raw in the middle and the dish over all was bland and nothing special even though it was the most expensive dish on the menu, the tuna which we order regularly (from other restaurants) came out either over done, old, left overs from a refrigerator, or was sitting under a heat lamp, Tuna is supposed to come out bright pink and flavorful this was neither. Among other reasons not listed here we don't plan on returning. This was a big disappointment after the wonderful visit I had last time. Unfortunately max restaurants are all slowly following this quality/experience which is again very disappointing.
Trumbull Kitchen continues to be an excellent place, for cocktails on a meal. Friendly welcoming staff. Wonderful vibe. Food is always delicious and Service is excellent! So happy they continue to have the sweet potato rock shrimp fritters they are absolutely the best! We will continue to visit as often as we can
Getting our food was very slow! Fish tacos were disappointing as they were not crispy as indicated - burger, while not the one we ordered was OUTSTANDING. We were sharing and everything was pre plates for us which was AMAZING! Perfect Martini as well

As always Trumbull Kitchen was right on point and delivered! Johnny was his usual wonderful self and an excellent server; and we had great fun teasing Carrie! My salmon was prepared perfectly; and my friend's burger cooked just as ordered. You can't go wrong at Trumbull Kitchen — it is a gem!
Was a beautiful restaurant and very nice and accommodating staff. I appreciated the host contacting me to add additional people to our party. The card was a nice touch for our graduating seniors. The waiters were attentive and quick nice recommendations on food and drinks. However, once he left we needed refills on drinks and he did not comeback until a lot later in the meal. The food came out quick except one person in our party did not get her dinner not sure what was the issue but it was nice they offered her a dessert. It was awkward sitting and eating in front of her as it took a long time for her to get the sandwich. The food was good and interesting choices. I ordered the shrimp tacos although very tasty was lacking shrimp there were only two shrimp per taco. We also ordered the tuna salad my daughter said was delicious. The hamburger also looked good! The other party had mostly the skirt steak and that looked delicious as well! I would say for the most part dinner was great! We would return!
We've been coming to Trumbull Kitchen for years and usually have a great experience, but our recent visit was a bit disappointing. Megan was lovely when seating us early for our reservation, but our server seemed disengaged and inattentive throughout the meal. A drink was missed, a dietary request wasn't followed, and overall the service felt cold compared to what we're used to here. We still love Trumbull Kitchen and hope this was just an off night.
This is my new favorite place to dine. The ambiance is pleasant, the food is fantastic, and the service is impeccable.
Second time at Trumbull Kitchen. Both experiences have been great. The occasion was an early Mother's Day dinner. My wife had a great time around the table with her children. Entrees and dinner hit the spot. Dessert was very good.
