Mondays are slow nights for most restaurants. It's the same at Trumbull Kitchen. This makes Monday a great day for dinner out at this gem. The seating is cozy, the food is first rate. Specials are updated regularly. Mondays are our favorite because there is a slower pace generally without sacrificing service.

We were so disappointed. We have dined her many times and have never experienced issues. First the noise level was high. Second the table we were seated at was not ideal. The worst issue was the fact that our server was likely new and not correctly trained. That is not his fault, it is a management issue. He didn't know the ingredients of the menu items, cleared dishes unevenly sometimes too soon, sometimes too late. Finally the food was not as good as we remember.

I booked the loft experience and the people at the table were taking longer than expected to leave so the hostess gave myself and my sister a complementary glass of Prosecco and allowed us to sit at a high top table while we waited for the table to be cleared and ready for us. We waited about half an hour to 45 minutes but it was New Year's Eve so we were understanding. Once we got up there the food and drinks were delicious and the service was exceptional.
