I had an hour free last Friday before my shift at work started. I stopped in here to wait before my bus would arrive. I ordered the buffalo chicken salad and iced tea. Boy! Was that a truly delicious surprise. Excellent fresh flavor, great presentaton, very generous portion, and so much more. I really enjoyed every bite. I will be back very soon, on my DAY OFF.

Vaughan's was recommended to me by a friend a couple years ago when I asked for a good place to stop before catching a show at the Bushnell, and it's become a staple recommendation on my own now.

The atmosphere is absolutely on point (and as a bonus, I appreciate that they actually have hat/coat pegs) for a pub type experience, I've never had poor service, and I can get a full English breakfast.

If you're looking for a more casual speed while in Hartford, the chairs are comfortable and the food is good - give Vaughan's a shot.

I wet here for lunch with coworkers. Vaughn has been around and it definitely has the potential as a hidden gem. What it does offer is some really good food. I had the Guiness lamb stew! Its a 5 star stew! The cod fish and chips was a hit for my coworkers.

The staff was very nice as well.

I will go here with my husband soon and I hope to see this pub around for many more years.

The good. Great atmosphere, bartender fast and friendly. Great selection of Irish beer and two Guinness taps. Wings were hot and delicious. Meatloaf was flavorful and the gravy is outstanding. The issue was the “Shepherd’s Pie.” A: Its Cottage Pie because it contains beef, not lamb. Hard to trust an Irish pub that doesn’t know the difference. B: The pie was completely dry. No sauce, no gravy, nothing. Just 2/3 potatoes and 1/3 meat vegetable. Can’t recommend that meal, but other food was good.

The bartender had a horrible attitude the moment i walked in. Felt extremely unwanted here before I could even get a drink order in.

This place has not been redone in a while. The bar chairs have stuffing coming out if them. The owners does not invest into his place.

I had the Shepherds Pies which is really Cottage pie. I'm not a fan of cheese in the mashed potatoes so it was a bit salty for me. My wife had the lamb stew which was good but again, a bit too salty. We shared a warm brownie made with Guinness and vanilla ice cream and their version of Baileys. I would love for the creme to have been a bit boosier and the brownie to not have Guinness.

Our server John was wonderful. Kept checking on us. Brought us soda refills without asking and helped us figure out the Uber app! Thanks John!

I really enjoyed Vaughan's. The shepherd's pie was excellent! Even on a hot day, it totally hit the spot. I want to come back in November just to enjoy it on a chilly day! We sat at the bar and even though the bartender was preparing a huge drink order he still managed to take our order and pour us a couple of Guinness pints quickly. Much appreciated!
