I went for the entertainment and was blown away by the ambience and energy that filled the restaurant. Classic, clean, warm energy is what I felt. The cozy area made for great views of the stage where the band performed some of my most beloved artist. Chaka Khan to Mary to Al Green and even Summer Walker. The lead singer had an astonishing ability to channel each artist and their song that was requested. Her rendition of Tina Turner made me believe that Ms. Turner had taken over her body. And the band…. Blew me out the water with the immediate download (mentally) of the notes to play for each request.
It is my hope and prayer to return again soon!

This was such a wonderful experience. I love that they have a nice cultured restaurant in Foxwoods. The music was fabulous! The drinks were amazing and the food was great! I love that Foxwoods has a restaurant that caters to the black experience with southern infused foods.
I highly recommend to try it out if you like fine dining soul food and love jazz, soul, r&b,and poetry vibe!

I'd like to share my disappointing experience at the Foxwoods location. The decor was stunning, but our party of 12 had to wait at the bar. Despite the interior not being packed, the delay was no big deal. However, it was odd the restroom was outside the restaurant, which was surprising. Our party's food orders were disappointing, lacking flavor. Oxtails were tough, grits were runny and creole pasta Un flavorful. The live music was subpar with the performer missing word to the songs, even though she was reading from a laptop warranting an extra $10 charge for live music. Our $850 bill left us underwhelmed, prompting me to share our unsatisfactory experience. Most of our party opted to dine elsewhere after dinner, and my creole pasta remains uneaten.

Service was excellent - we had Adrienne, she was attentive, efficient, friendly.
Food was mediocre. I had the salmon Caesar. Flavorless, average quality fish with a poor sear and lazy seasoning. Underdressed salad with none of the promised crouton, only a scant smatter of powder. When I was charged $36 for this pathetic excuse for a salad I almost fell out of my chair. $12 for sparkling water would make any diner angry. I felt taken advantage of and very disappointed. I would never return.
Live music was lovely, hush puppies were delicious.

I wish I had photos to share but this place had such an amazing vibe we never picked up our phones once! We had a reservation for 4 & was seated right in front of the stage. The band playing that night was such a cool vibe. The atmosphere was amazing! Food was fantastic. 3 of us were vegetarian & we found plenty of tasty bites. Mac n cheese, jalapeño & honey hushpuppies were soooo good. The wait staff is prompt & attentive. I can't wait to go back!!
