My son and I spend our Sunday mornings having breakfast together, trying out various local restaurants. We stumbled upon the Salty Heifer and it was worth the stop. The atmosphere was relaxing and the food was delicious. We look forward to returning.

My husband and I came here to eat a little bit ago. The food is extremely mediocre.

One negative thing that I witnessed and overheard was a manager or cook (?) yell aggressively at a young waitress in the kitchen. It seemed like the cook was under a lot of pressure. I understand restaurants are high pressure environments but there were only about 3 other tables. Including us at the counter! This cook was also yelling at another cook. Calling the person slow (as in mentally) and berating everything the person was doing!!

This place would be more populated and get more business if it had a better reputation and was maybe a little more kind to their employees. Has potential but is and graceless and mundane.

Just had an amazing breakfast at the salty heifer… Love the exotic fruits from the fruit bowl great conversation. Really enjoyed talking with the owner. Hopefully you guys can come visit us at Manchester Vermont.

My sailor and I decided to come for breakfast we were not greeted when we came in, we had to ask for menus. We also had to ask for a server to come and serve us. People were sat next to us 10 minutes after we got there and received their food way before us.

This is a great hole- in- the-wall restaurant. Lots of parking. It's a down-home kind of place, so it's not fancy. Staff is friendly and the food was excellent. Prices were very reasonable. They have farm fresh products. We bought steaks. The steaks were some of the best we've ever had at very reasonable prices. Highly recommend this place!

We are locals in the area and this is our first time stopping in to the Salty Heifer Diner. What an awesome spot!! I can’t believe it took us this long to find this place. Shara was our waitress excellent service great food and we will definitely come back for sure. I give this place a 10 out of 10 definitely recommend.

Good food. Awesome atmosphere. Very unique. The service was perfect! Our waitress was very nice and attentive. The lady that works at the front desk was so nice and had lots of good information about their products. The ice cream we tried was amazing. Highly recommend the ice cream.

This is a great spot for Breakfast or Brunch. Service and food was amazing. If you are by the Casinos and need to get away, this is the best Breakfast you will get at the best cost. Kid friendly food as well.

I just found an absolute gem! The Salty Heifer in Ledyard, I had breakfast and the food was DELICIOUS! You could tell the food was made with high quality and fresh ingredients, I consider myself a foodie and trust me I will be going back very often for more!! The service was also outstanding, super friendly! I felt like I was among friends even though I had just met them. I would highly highly recommend trying the Salty Heifer!!

Was the worst Breakfast experience 8 tables in whole we were 7th drinks 20 min then food 40 min one plate at time husband's cold mine homefries not cooked just boiled white no seasoning at all they microwave my husband's ewww rubber eggs now , they apologize 10% off and still 50.00 and both of us with immediate stomach ache .... never again........ while I am disgusted even more so with owner response.. ...reprimanding customer experience, I will once again let customers be aware if I wanted to comment on other experience I would have put forgot gentlemen breakfast behind us and table next to us had cold breakfast they sent back ...... instead of criticizing customer experience maybe you should fix your attitude as an owner, you certainly don't have a problem taking people's hard earned money for terrible food and service
