This place is much more impressive than it looks from the outside. It is much larger than I expected and they have a large variety of liquors. The tour and free tastings weee fantastic as well. Everyone was super friendly, highly recommended checking this out if you are in the area.

Their bourbon and other spirits are lovely and we've loved every limited edition product we've tried. They don't make you feel pressured to purchase anything after the complimentary tasting but we do every time because it and the people are just so great. Came out to Connecticut from Texas to see what the fuss is all about; we had great BBQ at Hindsight in Waterbury and when the conversation turned to whiskey they recommended we check out Litchfield Distillery. What a recommendation in deed! This small business is ran by some passionate and very knowledgable individuals. We were greeted warmly, they answered ALL of our curious questions, they let us pick which spirits to sample and even rewarded us with a sample of their Bourbon Barrel aged Maple Syrup. I can’t wait to be back in CT for more.

Such a cool visit. A great way to spend an afternoon on the FREE tour and tasting. Such great information! It was awesome to learn how they approach their aging differently than others, and I'm really appreciative that they locally source as much as possible . So many options for purchase in the gift shop, and bottle prices seemed to be cheaper there than in area liquor stores, with a greater selection!! Easy to get to, with a short drive to nearby ice cream treats, and steaks from cows that ate the spent grains

Loved the tour and tasting. It was free and extremely informative. All staff were super polite and showed great care for the customers. Loved all the spirits, one of the tastiest coffee liquor I’ve had in a long time. Flavored wasn’t overpowering it just enough to really enjoy.
We enjoyed one of the best tours at Litchfield! David answered all our questions and gave interesting facts and details about the work they do and even some history on Bourbon production. The tasting was also very good as we sampled the various spirits they offer. The gin was delicious and a personal favorite. They also have a blueberry vodka which was so unique and flavorful. The 4 year bourbon was rich with notes of caramel, spice and wonderfully smoky. This is definitely a must stop place if you’re in Connecticut!

Walked in to purchase a bottle and just so happened to catch a free tour of the facility. The tour lasted about 20 minutes, our guide, Ryan, was very knowledgeable and casual with the conversation and making it simple for us to understand. A free tasting followed the tour and I have the chance to taste some prospects. Walked away with two bottles and a flask for a reasonable price!
