The flavors are impressive, and the desserts are high-quality. Reservations are recommended due to the smaller dining room capacity. Winners of the best new restaurant award from the Connecticut Restaurant Association in 2022, Materia is a great choice for special occasions. The bar offers a Cynar sour and vongole with a glass of Grillo, where you can chat with the renowned mixologist Orlando. The only downside is the lack of diverse dessert options. Guests had a wonderful experience with warm greetings, favorite champagne ready, delicious calamari, and attentive service. The dining room is gorgeous with a terrific menu, making it one of the best dining experiences of the year.
