Apparently, mashed potato pizza is a thing in the Brantford, CT area—and I had no idea! I stopped by Portofino Pizza to introduce the wines I import and couldn’t help but notice a huge sign advertising their mashed potato pizza. I’d never tried anything like that before.
The young gentleman working there was incredibly friendly and took the time to explain how the pizza is made, what toppings it includes, and why it’s so popular. He was so pleasant and passionate that I couldn’t resist ordering one to go—even though I had already eaten dinner.
When I saw the pizza, it looked so good that I had to try a slice right away. I’m so glad I did because it was absolutely incredible—the best pizza I’ve ever had. I would gladly drive an hour just to come back for this pizza again.

Their pizza is some of the BEST I’ve ever eaten. The dine-in space seems a bit less inviting, however I’ve always gotten carry out, so my impressions are based off of a handful of minutes over the years. Dine In or Take Out, the food is is all you’ll care about.

Cant say enough great things about Portofino's . Had a large order and tried 8 different specialty pizzas there wasn't one I didn't love , our party raved about the pizza as well, staff was fantastic, easy to order was ready when needed, taste great! Even accommodated me with a large salad for party. Everything was priced right. This will be our new take out spot once we are moved into the area! Out of the 3 local places we tried theirs was our favorite! Thanks again Portofinos

All of their food is excellent! From subs to pizza to catering. I ordered a tray of chicken piccata for a party and it was the best I ever had. Friendly customer service.
My family has been ordering from here at least twice a month since we moved to the area 4 years ago, never been disappointed. Our house favorites are the Yankee Clipper and the Portofino, and whatever your stance is on pineapple on pizza, grab a small Hawaiian with your order and let the fellas do their thing with the crust.
I also run my pretty Ooni pizza oven at home pretty often and these guys are great about selling me dough when I don’t have time to make my own.
