I had my first Amazing Ackee experience years ago at the Ellington Farmer’s Market, and I’m still enjoying alllll their offerings today. What can I say about all the great food?? Well, I’ve never not liked anything, and I thoroughly enjoy anything I’ve eaten. I love to stock up on the patties especially. As a busy vegetarian, they’re a great way to have a satisfying, healthy, quick meal any day. Beautiful people, beautiful food! In fact, I’m going to stock up again soon. Highly recommend you try them out!
Where do I begin?! These patties are all you need in life!! The absolute best flavors, flaky patties, and made by one of the coolest women. These are literally my dream food, whenever I see Amazing Ackee at events, I have to buy a few patties. She now has a physical location so go check it out and get yourself some patties, they will literally change your life for the better! ?
The ladies there were so kind and informative! I’ve tried the ackee patty, broccoli patty, chickpea patty, and spinach patty, as well as one of their cookies. These patties are so delicious! Definitely grab some of their food if you find them at a pop up event. 💚 I bought mine frozen, so I could eat them whenever I’d like.

Always delicious! Never disappointed when I have an Amazing Ackee Patty on my plate. If I could eat one every day, I would.
Second time around even better. I found Amazing Akee on Grassfield’s blog under their black owned business highlight. I went to Amazing Akee’s Instagram… and just from what I saw I had to try. I found out their location was super far away from me and contemplated for two days if I was really going to drive 2.5 hours from NY for some Patties! It was my birthday so I said hey why not I’ll make some stops on the way. The patties and pumpkin coco bread was worth the drive. Second time around I decided to order since their shipping options were back, whoop whoop! I contacted them because I had a problem with the process and their response was extremely quick, they fixed the issue right away. I was able to order and have them shipped this time around. The shipping is a little steep… but I loved the patties and their seasonal coco bread so much last time it was worth the price for me! The shipping was fast, everything was packaged nicely to keep items frozen and the instructions was a plus! Will be ordering in the future for sure.
I first fell in love with Amazing Ackee vegan patties at the Ellington Farmer’s Market. Curried Chickpea & Zucchini...Oh My! Cauli...Jerk Spiced Eggplant...everything was truly amazing. The patty crusts are flaky and would even be fantastic on their own, but then they’re each filled with Chantal’s awe-inspiring blending of spices, veggies (tho Ackee is a fruit, which I didn’t know), legumes, and, well, check out the website for lists of goodness that make up each creation. It reads like a dream, and lives up to it in person. Mmmmm.Speaking of “in person,” right now it’s a curbside pickup. Perfect for me, isolated with immune system issues. Chantal refreshes on her website what’s in stock or being currently made on Tuesday nights at 9pm. Get your orders in! You can order and get a pickup slot for Thursday through Saturday 1-4:30pm. You can order frozen items to eat later or piping hot and ready-to-eat (um, in the car because you just can’t help yourself? or is that just me?)I also tried out 2 different dessert items: a sorrel bar, which is sweet and has a citrusy tang, and mini-coconut tarts, which have just a hint of sweetness that pairs nicely with the coconut. Both are fantastic. I’m trying the cocobread next!Chantal and her husband are the very nicest people, and they’ve got a good thing going in that kitchen! And the world is a nicer place with them & their business in it.

I bought the gluten-free curry chickpea and zucchini patty. I reheated it as suggested on the package. It was delicious. The crust was flaky and the filling was very tasty.
I bought 1 of each patty they sold. Loved them all . Didn’t think I would like the curry , but that was my favorite

I bought 1 of each patty they sold. Loved them all . Didn’t think I would like the curry , but that was my favorite❤️ Will you guys be bringing any other flavors like the calypso one to the Ellington farmers mkt? What about the coco bread?thank you so much I was pleasantly surprised with these. Lynn
I stumbled across this stand at the Ellington Farmers Market yesterday. Going vegetarian, I missed the traditional beef patties. I asked the ladies opinions and they suggested the lovely lentil patty. I got a few others and of course some coco bread. Just finished the lentil patty and my feedback is to run, do not walk… run to the next farmers market to purchase these patties before I get there and buy them out!! Everything was perfect, the crust, the filling, even the heating instructions….Definitely will become a regular at Amazing Ackee!!!
Tried them at the Spruce Street Farmer's Market - delicious AND vegan !!
Loved everything I tried - the ginger lemonade was delicious, garlic cocoa bread, spinach patty & eggplant patty. the eggplant was my absolute favorite. the pastry was flaky and soft and the eggplant was seasoned perfectly and had a nice spice to it. will definitely be back to try everything else !
I grabbed about 6 patties for a lunch I was having and they were a huge hit! One of the group is gluten free and when I compared it with the regular non gluten free you could barely tell the difference! Everything was delicious!
