Where do I begin?! These patties are all you need in life!! The absolute best flavors, flaky patties, and made by one of the coolest women. These are literally my dream food, whenever I see Amazing Ackee at events, I have to buy a few patties. She now has a physical location so go check it out and get yourself some patties, they will literally change your life for the better! ?

"Come on the amazing journey And learn all you should know" (The Who) When I was checking out the vendor list in preparation for a visit to the amazing Coventry Farmers Market, and saw there would be a Jamaican food presence there, I pretty much decided right then and there to be sure I found my way to the Amazing Ackee stand. Because I'm a Spice Guy, I asked the smiling salesperson which one of her frozen patties was spicier - the Eggplant or the Lentil. She definitively said the Eggplant, so that's what I popped in my cooler bag to take home. And today, I warmed it up in the toaster over and gave it a try. And I loved it! Super flaky crust? check? Flavorful eggplant filling? Check A high score on the old peppery zip meter? Double Check! Amazing indeed!!

I had two patties at an event at UConn. I've only had Jamaican food a few times and am not really into spicy things - but these were fantastic! Both were a really good size and completely filled. i was plenty full with the two. The crust of the patties were cooked perfectly. And neither was too spicy for my usual bland palate! To top it off, the woman (the owner?) serving the food was such a gem. Truly, all delightful! I highly recommend and wish the business much success!

The ladies there were so kind and informative! I’ve tried the ackee patty, broccoli patty, chickpea patty, and spinach patty, as well as one of their cookies. These patties are so delicious! Definitely grab some of their food if you find them at a pop up event. ? I bought mine frozen, so I could eat them whenever I’d like.

Excellent patties! I follow them to whatever market they are selling at. Owners are kind and service is always with a smile. Can't wait for the store to open. Delicious menu!

Amazing Ackee was a vendor at the recent RI VegFest which my partner and I attended. We hit them up on the way out of the fest with the intention of enjoying the Jamaican patties we bought from them at home. We got an Amazing Ackee and a J*** Eggplant. We heated them up before eating them, which we thought served them well as they were given to us room temperature at the fest. The Amazing Ackee was good. It had a nice balance of flavor and the patty was well packed. You could experience the ackee which can easily be overwhelmed by too much seasoning. I appreciate the unusual ingredient as I've eaten ackee before and find it an under utilized treat. The J*** Eggplant was also well packed into the patty. The eggplant had a wonderful texture. It was cooked down to almost a paste and the j*** seasoning was spot on. Both patties had initially been nicely fried and weren't overly greasy. We did pay $9 per patty, considering their smallish snack sizes, though we enjoyed them, this price seemed a bit over what they were worth to us. That having been said, the folks at the booth were friendly and showed obvious love for their products, so we were pleased to have supported them.

Always delicious! Never disappointed when I have an Amazing Ackee Patty on my plate. If I could eat one every day, I would.

Second time around even better. I found Amazing Akee on Grassfield’s blog under their black owned business highlight. I went to Amazing Akee’s Instagram… and just from what I saw I had to try. I found out their location was super far away from me and contemplated for two days if I was really going to drive 2.5 hours from NY for some Patties! It was my birthday so I said hey why not I’ll make some stops on the way. The patties and pumpkin coco bread was worth the drive. Second time around I decided to order since their shipping options were back, whoop whoop! I contacted them because I had a problem with the process and their response was extremely quick, they fixed the issue right away. I was able to order and have them shipped this time around. The shipping is a little steep… but I loved the patties and their seasonal coco bread so much last time it was worth the price for me! The shipping was fast, everything was packaged nicely to keep items frozen and the instructions was a plus! Will be ordering in the future for sure.

I first fell in love with Amazing Ackee vegan patties at the Ellington Farmer’s Market. Curried Chickpea & Zucchini...Oh My! Cauli...Jerk Spiced Eggplant...everything was truly amazing. The patty crusts are flaky and would even be fantastic on their own, but then they’re each filled with Chantal’s awe-inspiring blending of spices, veggies (tho Ackee is a fruit, which I didn’t know), legumes, and, well, check out the website for lists of goodness that make up each creation. It reads like a dream, and lives up to it in person. Mmmmm.Speaking of “in person,” right now it’s a curbside pickup. Perfect for me, isolated with immune system issues. Chantal refreshes on her website what’s in stock or being currently made on Tuesday nights at 9pm. Get your orders in! You can order and get a pickup slot for Thursday through Saturday 1-4:30pm. You can order frozen items to eat later or piping hot and ready-to-eat (um, in the car because you just can’t help yourself? or is that just me?)I also tried out 2 different dessert items: a sorrel bar, which is sweet and has a citrusy tang, and mini-coconut tarts, which have just a hint of sweetness that pairs nicely with the coconut. Both are fantastic. I’m trying the cocobread next!Chantal and her husband are the very nicest people, and they’ve got a good thing going in that kitchen! And the world is a nicer place with them & their business in it.

I saw these folks in Spruce street farmers market. I went for a cauliflower empanada and eggplant empanada. Ackee was over before I went. Both were good, but cauliflower one was better. Everything is a bit more expensive than I expected.

I bought the gluten-free curry chickpea and zucchini patty. I reheated it as suggested on the package. It was delicious. The crust was flaky and the filling was very tasty.

I stumbled across this stand at the Ellington Farmers Market yesterday. Going vegetarian, I missed the traditional beef patties. I asked the ladies opinions and they suggested the lovely lentil patty. I got a few others and of course some coco bread. Just finished the lentil patty and my feedback is to run, do not walk… run to the next farmers market to purchase these patties before I get there and buy them out!! Everything was perfect, the crust, the filling, even the heating instructions….Definitely will become a regular at Amazing Ackee!!!
