The food was not good the linguine with clam sauce had no flavor. The lasagna was burnt on the bottom. Neither one was edible The service was mediocre understaffed long waits between courses the atmosphere was awesome liked the original chef much better

On February 17, 2026 some special friends from Manchester High School class of 1979 decided to all go to Cafe Aura to have dinner and visit with each other. It was my first time there and absolutely loved it.
From making the reservations with such a kind woman named Darlene, greeted warmly by Ann and another host who walked us to a Private , beautifully decorated room.
Most of us chose to order from the Prix Fix menu choice available during the week. . Abby our server was outstanding! The food was excellent! Thank you Cafe Aura for accommodating our large group of friends and making it a memorable experience.

Oh YOU MUST stop in! This is an amazing restaurant! There are great restaurants scattered around Connecticut and this ranks up there as the best. A unique bar and restaurant that is upscale but not pretentious. Food is outstanding, service is stellar and the atmosphere is top notch. We often drive to West Hartford or Avon to find a great date night! No longer required! We stumbled upon this gem and will be back, time and time again! Do yourself a favor, step in, relax and enjoy!

Pretty good brunch - but it would be better not to offer toast with the omelette. No matter what kind of bread you request, what arrives is one lonely slice of what looks like wonder bread, unbuttered, on a separate dish along with frozen, unspreadable butter. If it's just one small slice of packaged bread, why not butter it and put it on the plate instead of crowding the table with this extra plate of diner-quality, cold, unbuttered toast and frozen butter. It definitely lowers the tone. And don't ask me if I want wheat or rye when all you're really offering is white.

I have always enjoyed Sunday brunch and have ordered the Challah French Toast since my first visit. It was different this time with a different topping, far less fruit and it was very dry. I ended up asking for some maple syrup which I shared with my friend who had ordered the World's Best Pancakes which he joked saying that they would not win any award. He thought there were few berries and he was never served any syrup. His coffee was served in a cup with no saucer. I also missed the breakfast potatoes that always came with the Challah Bread. I was told they no longer come with it and they couldn't be ordered as a side. Also, my water glass sat empty and I was never able to ask for more. Restaurant was not crowded but waitress never gave us much attention. Very disappointed 😞.

Those who ordered steak and salmon loved it. Those that ordered chicked parm did not. Restaurant was very loud it was hard to have a conversation.

attended for a friend's 40th birthday brunch we had the front room to ourselves, the wait staff was very courteous and attentive, the food was beautifully presented and tasted great! I would definitely consider them for future functions or just for brunch any Sunday.
