Workers didn't want to be there, shrimp wasn't cooked with sauce and was barely cooked at all, chicken wasn't heated up and was served from a warm mountain of meat, the cabbage was nasty and the rice was mushy and the portions were skewed. Avoid at all costs!

My wife & I use take our son to Buckland Hills mall past 15-20 years
And eat at Sarku teriyaki chicken
Today I was back in town near by
And tried EA teriyaki
I’m not going to grade on the food because it was decent
Big picture is Buckland Hills Mall is dying
And Businesses are changing.
I think everybody can agree with me that
We go back to same place for good food memories.
It wasn’t there today

Unsure about previous reviews but at least I found it had good taste, good amount, and great service. It did not took much time for our food and price is better than many other places.

It’s just sarku rebranded. Paid about $19 for 2 double chicken and noodles. Workers are a bit slow but friendly. It’s good value when they get it right.

The Teriyaki chicken and fried rice platter is great however they are very cheap on the meat your receive. In a foam container they load it up with more rice than you can eat then place the chicken on top of an already full container. This gives the impression that you received a lot of food. At least a 3:1 rice to chicken ratio (maybe more like 4:1). For that reason I have to give a poor rating because you don't get what you paid for.

Restaurantji Recommends
Me and my wife both got the teriyaki chicken & both had to run to the bathroom right after, leaving both of feeling nauseous and running to the toilet for a few

Much of the chicken had squishy fats all over, while some was so burnt it tasted like soot. Quality has gone down, it seems. The sauce did not taste right either.

If you’re familiar with Buckland Hills mall, then you know that this place is pretty much the same as the former restaurant that was there. The steak and shrimp were cooked well done and paired nicely with the teriyaki sauce. The fried rice was a bit mushy and cold. The counters could’ve been wiped down as well. Overall, it’s a decent place to have a quick bite.
This is the old sarku just a name change!!! Great price and great food I go to the mall solely for this all the time. Make sure you get extra sauce!!!
