Great service ,great product
I witnessed a driver for this company purposefully swerve into the opposing lane to hit and kill two baby raccoons.. I can’t imagine what company could employ someone with such psychopathic tendencies.
I would never eat here solely based on how recklessly they drive their van. I was driving 50 in a 45 in the pouring rain. This was not fast enough for them apparently. Passed me on a main road (they did wait for a passing section I will add) and proceeded to go 60+ mph in a 45 in horrible weather. Clearly have no care in the world about others safety on the road. I would never support this business

Nice granddaughter
Not the same since the dad passed away. What a shame.
King of the grinder rolls!!!
Great italian bread like I remember having when I was a kid.
King of the grinder rolls!!!
Staff in front store were unfriendly and unhelpful. I won't be going back there again
I'll never eat here due to the fact that one of their delivery drivers were flying down 84 West and almost missed their exit so they cut over 3 lanes and almost ran me off the road.

Best bread, staff friendly
I've seen bad reviews of the staff but whenever I've gone the staff have been polite at worst and friendly at best. Their pastries are delicious and will be gone pretty quick once you get them.
I don't like to post negative reviews, but my first and last experience at Strano was this evening. I stopped in to pick up a box of Italian cookies to bring to work tomorrow. The bakery was empty of customers. The older gentleman with glasses was sitting watching TV. He got up and said "yes?". Every response from him felt very impatient and I felt as if I was bothering him by being there. I almost left in the middle of him filling the box of cookies, but I didn't want to be rude myself. I will make the drive to Hartford for better service and a much larger selection of cookies. I'm updating the review to 2 stars because the cookies were actually good, but the service spoils everything for me.
This place is great! The owner is very friendly & the coffees & baked goods are extraordinary. I was on a 1st date so the laid back casual atmosphere was perfect. We sat on the couch with our cappuccinos listening to soft music...we'll be back for our 1 yr anniversary in 2 weeks!
The STALE cookies are bought from a NY store that ships. Selection is limited and of very poor quality (eg real chocolate is not used in brown lace cookies..has NO chocolate taste). The manager has a not so friendly attitude. While the cookies are labeled at 2 different prices, the manager wanted to put them all in 1 box and charge for the higher price. When I said I wanted them separated, he insinuated I was being cheap and he would have to spend $.40 on the extra box. I went there for the $5 salami/pepper/provalone sandwich and spent $25+ on cookies in addition to $10 for sandwiches. While a farther distance, I will go back to Hartford's Franklin Ave bakeries or to Giusippina's Italian bakery on 946 Sullivan Ave in S Windsor. They are real Italian bakeries and have superb quality and FRIENDLY service.
