I went to this place a few weeks back, and I'm only getting to post about it now. I can't recommend this place enough! I ordered the one meat combo with brisket, cornbread, and baked BBQ means. It was all fantastic! The brisket was so tender that sometimes forking it alone would have it come apart. One bite filled my mouth with heavenly smokey meaty flavor. This place does BBQ brisket the right way, and it's a higher quality brisket than other well known BBQ spots nearby. The cornbread was crumbly and delicious. Exactly what you'd want out of cornbread, nothing more to say here! The beans were savory and satisfying and cooked just right. They paired very nicely with my brisket. I made sure to dump all the tiny tender leftover pieces of brisket into the beans. What a delicious combo that was! If you want to impress your friends with a great takeout BBQ place, this is the spot. It's worth the ride. For a takeout place it really has the right vibe. Soulful music playing, open kitchen setup so you know what you're getting, friendly customer service! The only thing I'd love to see from this place is some additional sauces. Although the quality of meat is so great, no sauce is required, but it's always nice to have on the side. Something spicy would pair really well with this savory tender smokey brisket. The BBQ sauce that they do have is delicious though.

Delicious food, friendly service, and the perfect atmosphere for a small little BBQ joint serving up soul food and BBQ. I was extremely satisfied with my sliced brisket, beans, and cornbread. The cornbread is crumbly and delicious. The brisket was so tender it often fell apart as my fork hit it. Prices are absolutely fair for what you get. Come enjoy one of Connecticut's best BBQ spots. Who would have known that Manchester had BBQ like this?

I'm still on the fence about this place. We went late in the day 4pm. it wasn't as fresh as I expected. The Mac & Cheese I thought would be creamy, but wasn't. Mine had plain elbow macaroni with Cheese stuck to some ,not all. I'm thinking it was sitting in the hot case too long. My husband loved the pull pork sandwich but added it needed more sauce. I will try this establishment again. Will go as soon as they open

I was craving BBQ and was referred to this establishment. Service was wonderful. I was greeted upon entering. However, when I got home and set up my food to devour, I was extremely disappointed. The ribs were not fully cooked (being that they were super thick, they should’ve been cooked longer.). The potato salad was semi watery, cornbread was dry, collard greens had a flavoring that I can’t describe in words (it was just ‘no’) and lastly, the Sweet potato pound cake…(no).I wasted $30 on a meal that I did not eat. And it doesn’t help that they won’t be reopening until Tuesday because of New Years Eve. So I’ll take the lost of my $$$ yet I will not be returning.

Amazing! Randomly found this place before a movie at the IMAX. Brisket was outstanding, pulled pork sandwich was so big my daughter couldn't finish it. The Mac and cheese was also delicious. Some of the best local BBQ I've had. It's a small little hole in the wall location, don't let that fool you...the food is delicious.
Decent barbecue but more importantly, they don't rip you off. Prices are not too bad. Will definitely be back as long as the prices don't go up.

The meat here deserves 5 stars. The chopped brisket - phenomenal. I ordered the 2 meat platter with all chopped brisket. I couldn't believe how much they gave me. I actually weighed the meat in the to go container on a scale and it was over a pound and a half. We will definitely be back for more, and to try some of the other meat. The cornbread was blah, as well as the Mac and cheese which other reviewers have mentioned. The Mac and cheese seems old and like it's been sitting a while. No problem, I'll try the beans next time ? my boyfriend really liked the southern green beans and coleslaw sides. This is definitely more of a to go place, only a few seats inside, but we prefer take out so that worked well for us. I'd definitely recommend giving this place a try!

My first time here was yesterday and I am going back today!1. Immediately noticed how CLEAN IT IS in there! As a former restaurant worker, it was literally the cleanest I have seen.2. Service was quick, professional, friendly!3. The food… was AMAZING! I had the pulled pork grilled cheese and cornbread and I CANNOT STOP THINKING ANOUT IT! I went to bed thinking about it and woke up thinking about it and now I am calling to order! Amazing corn bread, ribs, beans, brisket had by my boyfriend too! Don’t tell him I am going without him, he’s at work! Lol!
