After having lunch there today I was left underwhelmed and still hungry. I ordered ther cheese ravioli with marinara. For $15, you get 5 ravioli. Yep, $3 each and no no bread, no salad. Absolutely nothing comes with it. I won't go back.

Steak made me sick, girlfriends food came out burnt like hockey pucks. Menu told us the grilled chicken grinder came with mayo and cheese, which was not on the sandwich. Also said fries were the side and she got hash browns. Chicken was slapped on the grinder in pieces; was not a full piece of chicken and was very chewy. We told the waiter, and he dumped in trash, without showing the cook. Would not reccomend

Stopped by to grab a quick bite with some family members for breakfast, I was pleasantly surprised how nice the place is. Great food, great menu, and l already got my whole family on board all 8 of us to go have dinner there after showing them the dinner menu. Russell was a great waiter, very pleasant and great humor too. Mike keep up the great work, you got the right staff to make it a great success!

Hi! This place was absolutely cozy and so welcoming for a Valentine’s Day atmosphere. We loved browsing their baked goods and product displays. My boyfriend had reached out to make a reservation and the owners were greatly accommodating. He asked Ericka to have flowers from their florist next door be at the table making dinner such a beautiful surprise to walk into. The establishment was attentive and service was exceptionally kind. We had fresh toasted rolls with the shrimp calabrese and chicken marsala, but chef Sal’s arancini was filling itself. For dessert they have a variety of cakes, and the red velvet was delicious along with the white chocolate macadamia nut cookie from the bakery. I highly recommend this Italian joint for a relaxing and peaceful evening!

We ate an early dinner on a Thursday night. There were only a few other patrons, so it was very quiet. If the restaurant was full, I think it could get very loud with the acoustics. The overall ambiance is nice but a little stark. The service was excellent, attentive, knowledgeable, and accommodating. The food was fantastic. The bread is made fresh daily. We had crab stuffed mushrooms and calamari appetizers, and both were excellent. My main course of chicken Calabrese was phenomenal, nicely flavored, abundant, and freshly made. Prices are reasonable as well. In this post covid era, we have found most restaurant faire has become mundane and service is poor, it is refreshing to find a place close to home that values quality.

Just tried this place for dinner and everything was delicious! The Arancini was awesome with the vodka sauce base. For entrees, we had chicken parmigiana, chicken francaise and lasagna. Everything was excellent. The special crab stuffed shrimp was outstanding. Everything was flavorful, great portion size and friendly staff. Will definitely be back!

Will not go back.Dinner left much to be desired.Arancini wasnt good. Was mushy and had sauce inside making a strange consistency.Eggplant parm on menu but came out grilled eggplant with side of pasta. Sorry, thought eggplant parm would have breading and cheese like chicken parm.Bottom line was chef doesn't bread it and its an error on menu.Either reprint menu, let people know when ordering or take a sharpie and fix menu.Nothing great about penne with meatballs which weren't even meatballs but sliced chunks of mostly bread crumbs with a little meat.Mushroom ravioli was hit or miss. Over cooked mushrooms that some were loaded with salt and others not.Really wanted to like this place but way off.Dessert was very good and young male waiter was ,friendly and accomodating

The atmosphere is chill but the place was dead. Staff was friendly. Bread and oil came out first and the oil tasted off and gross. Calamari said it was made with hot peppers but tasted of little and the marinara tasted cheap. For $16 I expected twice as much food. The beer was good I guess. Most likely won’t come back.

How lucky are we to have Chef Sal operating a restaurant in the Storrs area, again. We had an amazing dinner there in mid-November for my husband's birthday, and brought two friends along to celebrate theirs, too! Everything was wonderful...the atmosphere is amazing, staff was wonderful, and our four different dinners were all fabulous! We'll return for sure.

We had an amazing dinner at Stix 'n' Stones Marketplace for NYE. We started the dinner with the arancini appetizer (breaded rice stuffed with ground beef, peas, and mozzarella in a vodka sauce) and caesar salad, followed by lasagna and a seafood stew over pasta. There was enough food for at least one more meal for two. We had incredible food, service, ambiance, and an overall five star experience. If you haven't been there, we highly recommend this place! It's local! It's just fabulous! A must visit soon!

Stix and stones is known mostly for its breakfast and lunch fare. The dinner is a fairly recent offering. We went for a family dinner it was quite good. There is not much said in these reviews about dinner. It is an Italian dinner that was really very good. All homemade and fresh ingredients. This is a hidden gem in Storrs, It is definitely worth going to.

Honestly underwhelming. The place looks great, the servers are nice, but the food just doesn't stack up. It's pricier than other spots but it's missing flavor and seasoning. It just falls short.

Great experience overall - good portions, good prices, good atmosphere, good options, etc. Mostly impressed by their service with a special shout-out to Jen, who was so incredibly kind, attentive, and warm. She made my day with her energy, and I hope we can all make an effort to make hers. Leave that lady a substantial tip!

Wonderful lunch menu. Really nice vibe, background music was quiet enough for convos, always good. 5 of us went and we were all very happy.
