“As a celiac family, we are SO glad to have a breakfast option within driving distsnce, and it just so happens to have excellent food and service. We have been multiple times, my son has never had an issue with gluten contamination and we have always enjoyed the experience. My kids asked me to leave a review today, so consider this as 3 opinions. 😍”

“Very clean location and friendly staff! Vegan and gluten-free choices aren't vast but better than nothing (most places wouldn't consider the idea). Double-chocolate mint comes highly recommended. Worth the price.”

“I came here last night for the first time after a recommendation and so glad we did cause they did not disappoint. The decor is a little dated however we have the nicest waitress Natasha who made the evening so great. She was very prompt and friendly and really funny. The food portions were a generous size and everything we had was really good. We never once asked for water refills, she just kept them coming. Amazing staff. Amazing food. Will be returning to our new local favorite spot in the very near future and hopefully will get the same amazing waitress.”

“My husband and I went to the restaurant for the first time last night. When we got there, we found that they could only do take out at the present time. There was a nice gentleman (cook) and he told us they need waiters/ host before they can get back to the way things were before COVID. We placed our order and told it would be ready in 30 minutes. The plus side is, they have to cook everything "made to order" so our food was nice and fresh and DELICIOUS!! Hopefully now that UCONN is back in session they will get some good employees and be able to have "dine-in" again.”

“I deliver the wings as I am a uber eats driver. Lots of people order from wings over, figured we would try them. We found it all to be very good. Tenders and wings were not dry like many other places.”

“Completely unique idea for a restaurant to serve specialty Calzones. It may seem like a gimmick but trust me, they are actually good. New to this area and it's one of my local favorites. Roni Rolls and Buffer Zone are incredible”

“The food at Gallo's is by far the best I've had in the area. They took extra care with our vegetarian quesadillas, creating an off-menu special with mushrooms, onions, and peppers, all freshly cooked and packed into fresh and tender corn tortillas. They will make anything in a veggie version and also do gluten-free. The storefront restaurant is modest but has a warm feeling. Gallo's has the feel of a community favorite and the food is made with love. Can't recommend this gem enough!”

“We ordered 3 burritos and 2 tacos with chips and pico and guacamole and queso from here today and everything was amazing. The burritos are massive and very tasty! The different hot sauces were great, too! Can’t wait to go back!”

“Was Working in town and decided to stop by as I’ve heard great things about UConn Diary Bar. There were commencements going on so lines were a little long but worth the wait. I got a medium 3 scoop black raspberry which was fresh and delicious. Definitely would go back again.”

“I love supporting local small businesses! This place does not disappoint. They are super friendly and always ready to answer any questions. I have tried many different things and I am always very pleased. Yesterday I picked up some of their strawberry jelly and it tastes just like my mom's used to. 💜 Its the first one I've been able to find and putting it on their bread made either even better! I also picked up the Hungarian mushroom soup. It was so tasty and full of mushrooms! If you haven't tried this spot definitely put it on your list! You won't be disappointed 🥰”

“I'm visiting from out of state, and I like to find places to eat that I don't have back home. I love loaded fries, so this was a no-brainer for me. I ordered the taco fries without jalapeños. The service was great, the presentation was gorgeous, and the taste was excellent. The fries themselves, aside from any toppings, are thick-cut, earthy-tasting, legitimate freshly-made from handcut potatoes. The toppings were generous and flavorful, and didn't taste generic or store-bought. 10/10 would recommend, and I hope to eat here again on future visits to the area!”
