“As a celiac family, we are SO glad to have a breakfast option within driving distsnce, and it just so happens to have excellent food and service. We have been multiple times, my son has never had an issue with gluten contamination and we have always enjoyed the experience. My kids asked me to leave a review today, so consider this as 3 opinions. 😍”

“Very clean location and friendly staff! Vegan and gluten-free choices aren't vast but better than nothing (most places wouldn't consider the idea). Double-chocolate mint comes highly recommended. Worth the price.”

“My first time trying it, I got something I normally would never get on Pizza, which as pepperoni, roasted red peppers, and then a balsamic drizzle, and the olive oil drizzle. It ended up being the best pizza I’ve had in a very long time. Especially since they give it to you right out of the oven, and then have an oven that has real fire in it, so it comes out with the New Haven Charred Taste. And what I loved about it was how thin it was and light, like it felt healthy and you didn’t feel weighed down after eating it. My kid is a health nut, so she’ll love the gluten free and lactose free cheese. If you’re trying to stay healthy and want pizza, this is where you want to go. I was pleasantly surprised.”

“I go here every morning as I work just form the street and the staff is amazing!!! They are so welcoming and my drinks are always on point. They truly feel like family to me and they are always working hard to make everyone’s experience a great one!”

“My husband and I went to the restaurant for the first time last night. When we got there, we found that they could only do take out at the present time. There was a nice gentleman (cook) and he told us they need waiters/ host before they can get back to the way things were before COVID. We placed our order and told it would be ready in 30 minutes. The plus side is, they have to cook everything "made to order" so our food was nice and fresh and DELICIOUS!! Hopefully now that UCONN is back in session they will get some good employees and be able to have "dine-in" again.”

“I came here last night for the first time after a recommendation and so glad we did cause they did not disappoint. The decor is a little dated however we have the nicest waitress Natasha who made the evening so great. She was very prompt and friendly and really funny. The food portions were a generous size and everything we had was really good. We never once asked for water refills, she just kept them coming. Amazing staff. Amazing food. Will be returning to our new local favorite spot in the very near future and hopefully will get the same amazing waitress.”

“I deliver the wings as I am a uber eats driver. Lots of people order from wings over, figured we would try them. We found it all to be very good. Tenders and wings were not dry like many other places.”

“Ive been going here since before I even knew it was chain. The owner is super chill, nice guys. 10/10 food, and on slow day 10/10 service. It does get busy cause it’s delicious, but they really do try and make it a good experience when possible. Overall, go when its not busy and order ahead when it is and either way you won’t be disappointed.”

“The food at Gallo's is by far the best I've had in the area. They took extra care with our vegetarian quesadillas, creating an off-menu special with mushrooms, onions, and peppers, all freshly cooked and packed into fresh and tender corn tortillas. They will make anything in a veggie version and also do gluten-free. The storefront restaurant is modest but has a warm feeling. Gallo's has the feel of a community favorite and the food is made with love. Can't recommend this gem enough!”

“We ordered 3 burritos and 2 tacos with chips and pico and guacamole and queso from here today and everything was amazing. The burritos are massive and very tasty! The different hot sauces were great, too! Can’t wait to go back!”

“Was Working in town and decided to stop by as I’ve heard great things about UConn Diary Bar. There were commencements going on so lines were a little long but worth the wait. I got a medium 3 scoop black raspberry which was fresh and delicious. Definitely would go back again.”

“I love supporting local small businesses! This place does not disappoint. They are super friendly and always ready to answer any questions. I have tried many different things and I am always very pleased. Yesterday I picked up some of their strawberry jelly and it tastes just like my mom's used to. 💜 Its the first one I've been able to find and putting it on their bread made either even better! I also picked up the Hungarian mushroom soup. It was so tasty and full of mushrooms! If you haven't tried this spot definitely put it on your list! You won't be disappointed 🥰”

“I don't know what it's like inside because I've only ordered. This is the best food I've gotten since I moved up here. It's the only place where you can get a real fresh salad with quality ingredients, the food is truly delicious. The hummus and tabouli are first-rate, the grilled chicken is juicy and tender, the portions are huge, it's just all first quality!”

“Our recent school staff's Christmas celebration was an amazing success due to the wonderful amenities provided by this establishment. Their service staff were so attentive to everybody's needs and their courteous service made me feel right at home. Let's not forget the delicious food served in their buffet line! The buffalo wings, drumsticks, and pulled pork were so delicious, it was impossible to resist countless returns to the buffet line. The space that my school was allowed to use was adequately spacious and comfortable for the group size of over 40 in attendance. There was even space available for a small musical ensemble to perform and dance floor to jam to the music. Restroom facilities were kept in utmost state of cleanliness! Hops44 is certainly a place to go to with family or for special celebrations. I'm grateful for the positive experience your staff was able to provide and for the delicious food served at this restaurant. Keep up the awesome work You're doing!”
