The tables outside had no umbrellas, making it too hot to sit outside.
Staff was polite, but under staffed for volume of customers.”

“My family was passing through the area and we decided to stop. We were not disappointed. The gluten free pizza was excellent! The veal piccata and penne alla vodka were delicious. The chicken parm sub was cooked perfectly with a lightly toasted roll. And the chick-fil-A quesadillas were tasty with a hint of sweet. We all also took home leftovers for a good price. It was so good that if we are passing through again we will definitely stop here!!”

They took extra care with our vegetarian quesadillas, creating an off-menu special with mushrooms, onions, and peppers, all freshly cooked and packed into fresh and tender corn tortillas. They will make anything in a veggie version and also do gluten-free. The storefront restaurant is modest but has a warm feeling. Gallo's has the feel of a community favorite and the food is made with love. Can't recommend this gem enough!”

“Was Working in town and decided to stop by as I’ve heard great things about UConn Diary Bar. There were commencements going on so lines were a little long but worth the wait. I got a medium 3 scoop black raspberry which was fresh and delicious. Definitely would go back again.”

“I'm visiting from out of state, and I like to find places to eat that I don't have back home. I love loaded fries, so this was a no-brainer for me. I ordered the taco fries without jalapeños. The service was great, the presentation was gorgeous, and the taste was excellent. The fries themselves, aside from any toppings, are thick-cut, earthy-tasting, legitimate freshly-made from handcut potatoes. The toppings were generous and flavorful, and didn't taste generic or store-bought. 10/10 would recommend, and I hope to eat here again on future visits to the area!”

It's the only place where you can get a real fresh salad with quality ingredients, the food is truly delicious. “9/10 Chicken and the biscuits are a must here. I will say the chicken is a little salty for me but again I have a big thing for no salty foods. It’s still extremely juicy and crunchy. (The honey mustard sauce also makes up for the saltiness a lot)

Another important factor: The biscuits and jambalaya with red beans and rice are chef’s kiss here. It’s the best I’ve ever had in a long time. Customer service is phenomenal here too and you can definitely tell that she cares. I will definitely be going back there again!”
