California Pizza Kitchen at Foxwoods Casino

We waited almost 20 minutes just to see a hostess. Never saw one, multiple people in line, many complained that they had been waiting there beyond what they we're told. We left before ever seeing an employee n our first time visiting this chain n Foxwoods.

Was sat down and waited 20 minutes until we were even given water or even got our order taken. Once order was finally taken the food took an additional 40 minutes to come out.
Spoke to manager and said we had been here for an hour and not even our appetizer has came out. All he had to say was “yeah our kitchen is backed up” and shrugged his shoulders.
Restaurant wasn’t even busy and more the half of the tables were open and bar was even empty as well.
Won’t be ever coming back nor will I recommend this place to anyone. Also overheard two other separate family making the same complaints. Definitely won’t be back here and won’t recommend to others.
I’m never one to really complain either because I have worked in this industry before and know it can be tough sometimes but this was just terrible.

Got takeout at this restaurant, food was really good! Pick up was a little confusing knowing where to go, I didn't know the pick up counter was inside the restaurant so that was confusing. Staff was nice but definitely busy as it seemed there was no assigned person just for take out.

They do it well for what it is! This location is inside a top-tier casino, Foxwoods, so I am not sure if that makes a difference. My wife and I arrived at around 10:30 a.m., and the place was nearly empty. Most people were probably either sleeping one off or checking out of the hotel. The was sourdough bread served with oil and pesto, I believe. We got some butter instead. The bread was definitely not fresh baked, but it was not a projectile either. We. started with an appetizer of the Bang Bang shrimp imitation. It was good but not great. The shrimp was small, and all in all lacked the spices of the original. Next time I will save my money on that one. Trying to slim down a little, I ordered the plank salmon with corn. The salmon was excellent and a nice big portion, too. The corn mix had good flavor, and the meal came quickly and hot. My wife ordered the salad wedge. As you can see, it too was a generous portion. Looks like it had bacon in there. You know the rule, either you like bacon or you are wrong. The wedge was so large that she could not finish it all. We did look at the pizza as it was being served to other guests. They are personal size and may not be the best Bang for your buck even if they are delicious. I would definitely go back here again. There are a variety of mid - and upper scale restaurants on this property, and California Pizza Kitchen is high on my list for a quick meal. A final thought, there is a pretty big bar area here. I can imagine quite a rowdy show if there were a popular sporting event on. Enjoy. Your mileage may vary. God bless you.

Lots of common items were unavailable on the day I went (Iced tea and lemonade and bread were the ones that I missed the most.) but the service was great and the pizza was fantastic.

We drove an hour to eat at CPK as we have done many times before. The manager (a man) turned us away stating that the last hour of operation is take out only. We arrived at 10:10 pm. This is the first time we've been told that. He was quite arrogant.

The pizza was delicious ‼️

Mateo went out of his way to make our dinner special with our mom who is 95, took our picture and was very personable to us.

I went here 3 months ago and was given dirty /sticky menus .
The company replied to my review saying they would deal with the dirty menu issue !
However , 3 months later I went again . And again dirty /sticky menus ....
I guarantee you , that if a host gives you a dirty menu and a server takes it from you , they don't care about hygiene. Do you honestly think these people wash their hands when they use the toilet ? ....
Hygiene is not about what you see , it's all about what you don't see ...
