Since Wooster Street in the 90s early 2000 Frank and Mary's had line's or the door for the sandwiches and I was there everyday, but when I moved 2006, for the life of me I could not find an authentic fresh simply made Meatball Grinder-until now. Wow just Wow! Freshly toasted bread with well seasoned meat cooked to perfection and the sauce Oh ohhhhh the sauce! Omg I can't wait to get back on Monday! My new favorite spot!

This is a very nice neighborhood family style restaurant. I grew up in Meriden knowing the original place that was Guida's when there was an active farm. Then it was bought by a couple named Al and Arlene (I believe that was their name), hence, it was renamed A & A Restaurant.
I married and moved out of Meriden decades ago but have gone by it but this time to Meriden actually met friends there for dinner.
I enjoyed my visit.
Upon entering, it's spacious and clean with a warmth in the air making it feel like home rather than just another restaurant.
We were greeted warmly by a server who told us to sit wherever we liked, so, we did choosing to sit in a booth where my friends and I caught up after a lengthy absence.
Anyway, we were given menus and asked if we wanted anything to drink.
The menus are simple and clear. The prices are reasonable.
The waitress came back with our drinks shortly after we ordered.
The food came pretty quickly; the place was quiet with just us there as it was near closing time.
The food was just perfect, not huge portions but just the right amount and I add, delicious.
This was my first time there since it was redone with new owners and it was a positive experience.
We weren't rushed and I highly recommend it.
If you're looking for a nice, quiet place to go for a full meal or snack at reasonable prices in a safe area I'd suggest giving this place a try, you can't go wrong. There's plenty of parking here too.

I dined in, and also had take out as well, I also had pizza , dinner, breakfast, other types of lunches as well, I can tell you this place is most definitely a very very nice place to enjoy your breakfast, lunch, and even dinner. Never Never had a bad experience. Love this place. You should visit, and I would say soon. Of course the prices do very depending on how many folks are in your company. Enjoy.

Greek pizza is my favorite and the combo pizza we had here was absolutely fantastic! Tangy flavor, crisp crust. Outer crust was thick but bottom was not too thick. Plenty of sauce. If you like Greek pizza, you just know! It has that flavor I missed when I lived out of state. With so many pizza places around, it’s hard to pinpoint that taste I’m looking for. This is it!
Note: we ate there, so the pizza was served to us at the temperature of flowing lava. Review of flavor is based on after it cooled enough to enjoy it. So I bet picking it up would enough time to cool to perfection when you get home.
No Foxon Park soda. They had some other dark birch beer.
I didn’t rate the atmosphere because it doesn’t matter. It’s a family restaurant that’s cozy and has been there many years. It’s not fancy, but it doesn’t affect how incredible their pizza is! In my mind, it’s perfect.
