“I came here last weekend for the first time, the food is amazing. All different types of authentic Mexican cuisines, the service was excellent. It was speedy even in a packed environment. I had their chicken burrito, it was delicious. Full of meat, rice, beans, etc. This small business is top notch. Not the mention the sweet elderly couple that owns it is so welcoming. I definitely recommend.”

“It’s a cheap local dive lives up to what you would need from a watering hole. Inexpensive drinks, not pretentious, mainly plastic cups, good people. First time, walked in and had a small chat with a patron before the night was done. Plus, unlike some other aptly named Irish pubs, they do have Guinness *cough obrians*. Decent draft list too for a small local. Didn’t play, but seems like a good setup for darts too. I might not take a date or the wife for low key dinner and drinks, but after work or a friend for a cheap blow off steam evening? Absolutely.”

“This is my review of Asian Buffet on Broad Street in Meriden Connecticut.
Pros: The food is really good in my opinion.
The selection is great, with the food trays stacked with fresh hot food and desserts all the time.
They have a hibachi section at no extra charge, where they'll cook the food for you the way you request it.

Cons: The prices are high, I shouldn't have to pay $20 for a 9 year old to eat there.
The atmosphere is ok, but they have room for improvement.
The wait staff is dry, straight to business with zero smiles or small talk, which I am not used to.

Overall I give this place 4 Stars...
Check them out for yourself, I think you'll enjoy it.”

First time tested out with slices which were good, then had a surprisingly good penne alla vodka with shrimp- which were cooked to perfection, and tonight I got a Ceaser salad with shrimp and some wings- all really good! The shrimp again was very flavorful and not overcooked. I'm glad they're nearby because Brasa Bella will definitely become a staple for us! 😁 Support your local small businesses!!”

“This place opened in Meriden a little bit ago and I always seemed interested so today I was like you know what I might as well try this place and I’m glad I did. Everything was so fresh. The restaurant was so clean and their options were incredible I didn’t know what to choose. I’m very glad I grabbed the cheesy steak fajita burrito. It was very balanced and you can tell this was a good cut of steak. We’re definitely recommend this restaurant, especially if you want a unique twist on a burrito.”

“As perfect as a an outing for lunch or quick dinner you can get. If you love steamed cheeseburgers, this is your place! Perfect combination of gooey-soft white cheddar cheese and fresh, hot and steaming, juicy burger. Chocolate milk shake round out the meal. Bun was soft and fresh. Great spot, don't change a thing. And they have Foxon Park sodas on tap! Birch Beer, Cream Soda and Root Beer! (along with more in bottles). Great meal!”

“Don't let the simple name fool you. This Mexican restaurant is one of the best in the state! My partner and I visit once a week and never had a problem with the food and/or service. The food is authentically Mexican and is delicious. The drinks are amazing and they pour heavy. Many latinos go to eat there so you know if latinos go to eat there the food must be good. The service has always been excellent. No attitudes. Just happy faces. The restaurant is very clean.”

“My husband and I recently went here and enjoyed our meal here. I got the Cheesy Burger - so four slices of cheese between two burger patties with an inverted bun. It honestly tasted like a grilled cheese and it was difficult at times to taste the meat. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his bacon burger. We also got fries, cheese curds and a milkshake. All of them were extremely tasty and things we would get again. I believe the website said they use Blue Bunny ice cream so not the typical ultra creamy ice cream I've had in other Connecticut establishments, which I'm cool with. Overall, we both enjoyed our meals and would go back to try their other items.”

“11/09/24- I stopped by after work heading to the hotel and George was on duty. He was busy, but immediately acknowledged me and went to wash up and came back happy.

We discussed the subs and he recommended #34 Spcy Nachos Steak. He added the way it says, but without green 🫑, extra jalapeños.

This is day two experience and I don’t know if previous reviews were out of anger because I have had great customer service.

11/08/24- I haven’t been to a Subway in years and today I stopped by for the $6.99 special. I walked in and was loudly greeted by Ilvin who was friendly and made me feel like I’m an old customer. He made all the customers feel comfortable and happy to be there.

Subway has so many new meals I asked Ilvin about the different subs. Ilvin did not seem put out and he went over the breads, the meats and all the toppings. He made it easy to order but hard to choose 😋

I ordered #23 Hotshot Italiano Sub based on his recommendation and it did not disappoint because I enjoyed every bite.

He wasn’t stingy with the jalapeños and he added just enough sauce that it didn’t make the bread soggy.

Ilvin explained how to earn points. If he isn’t the manager he is manager material with his positive attitude. I asked about the other guy in the back and Ivin said they are a team. I was impressed he spoke well of his staff.

I leave in a week, but I may start eating a new subway every day thanks to Ilvin and my great experience! Ya Sabes! 😎

Kid-friendliness: I am sure they have a sub for every kid. If the kid is picky or not, chubby or thin there’s a sub on the menu for them.”
