Fantastic food, reasonably priced.Disclaimer: I’m just a white boy from the Northeast but my Mexican wife says these are how tacos should taste.El Sol has become our go-to taco place, though it’s quite small so we’ve only done takeout.Better than Tacos Mi Nacho, in our opinion.I love the barbacoa (chivo) and the al pastor tacos are packed with flavor.
Ive been eating around at a few taco places around here in Meriden, and I found one that really stands out. Yeah, the tortilla may fall apart if you take too long to eat it or put the sauce on preemptively, but sometimes the best things in life are messy. The meat is so full of flavor that not even a thick corn tortilla could hold it together. 3 tacos ordered. Thats all you need. You come for lunch and they give you lunch. My partner and I stumbled upon this restaurant while we were in Meriden on business. Fortunately, I speak enough Spanish to order our meals. Nobody in the restaurant speaks English.The food was surprisingly delicious and the place was clean and cozy. The slight language barrier should not inhibit anyone from trying this restaurant.
