After church my friend and I searched for a soul food restaurant in Meridian since we don't lived in that area. We found this one which was rated five stars. It a wait to be seated then we was asked to move to another seat another party was waiting before us. It took a long time to get waited on, we started to leave. The waitress was very kind and friendly. The music was so loud we could barely hear ourselves talk. It almost gave me a headache. Finally the food came out and by this time two of our friends had joined us. The food was delicious and seasoned with perfection. A beautiful presentation as well and more than enough for service side. I highly recommend this restaurant but bring some ear plugs you will need them.Parking: No problem with parking at all.

I love the environment and the food was INCREDIBLE!It just took over an hour and a half to get my order between appetizers and the entree. Also, several tables got their order before mine.But the food really did make up for a lot! I just wish the timing had been better.

Came to the area from Springfield Massachusetts. Decided to go to this spot last moment. I tell you it was not a bad decision! I really recommend! Server was great! Only downside was music was down and we could hear all conversations. Great soul food I’ve eaten in a while!!

Good things, come in Small packages!My first experience was enjoyable. The staff gave a we are cool, and we are glad you're here vibe. Polite, inviting, caring, and extremely professional. The food was really good! The Fried Catfish, Posted Vegetables and Candied Yams, were comfort food heaven!Looking forward to another visit to explore the menu further!PS, the Sunday R&B-Brunch made the vibe feel like Girls Night Out! ?? ?? ??

1 big container for a skimpy piece of Salmon the corn was hard with little pieces of tomatoes in it Smh ??♂️ (Why idk) The Cornbread taste like batter like it wasn’t fully cooked the only thing that was good was the Mashed potatoes the Mac & cheese was straight. Overall the food could’ve been better I would not recommend anyone to try this place if you’re looking for Real Soul Food that’s my opinion thou.

This is my 2nd time being unhappy with the food. I ordered a chicken wing dinner and a fried shrimp dinner. The chicken tasted like it was cooked in days old oil and yall have the nerve to charge $42?!!!! Nah that’s not going to work. Shrimp tasted the same way, I ended up throwing the food away and went to Sandra’s in New Haven smh

Although she was very friendly. The waitress messed up our order. She said she would fix it and then never came back with it. The service was extremely slow. I have never waited that long to receive our food and there was maybe only 10 people in their so I don't understand why it too so long to get out food. The waitress said she wouldn't charge us for the mix up which was good. I ordered crab cakes which were fine but incredibly salty. The yams were excellent. The waitress gave me free dessert as an apology for the bad service. I got the banana pudding which was very good. Sadly I would not come back or recommend. If I was to come back it would definitely be just for the banana pudding.

Omg, I think fried chicken was invented here! Literally the greatest chicken ever!!!!! Their brunch is great. The atmosphere is fantastic. Love the mac and cheese!!!!! I just discovered this place and I'm addicted.
