Contrary to popular belief, this place is not closed. They are still open during the week. They are very good. It's a very interesting set up as the store must be bigger than the front shows to be. Most of the time, raviolis are in the freezer. There is a rare occasion that some will be fresh. I'm not really sure how this guy survives selling these raviolis. Today I picked up the butternut squash, meat, and mushroom. I've had them before and they are good. It's nice to still have them locally made although I feel like they would sell a whole lot more of them if they had another location closer to one of the Italian neighborhoods in Hartford or New Haven.

Everyone in our group enjoyed their meal. No rave reviews or dissatisfaction on the dishes. Adequate portions and reasonably priced. Service was average, with maybe a little bit of a wait on the food. The owner recommends making a reservation for dinner. I think it helps them staff adequately.

My experience ... called to find out what time they RE -OPEN after their lunch break ... the guy that answered began with .... "What do you want " Good start ? Asked our Waitress if they had a Malbec ... she had no idea what I was asking for. Ordered the Ravioli ... mistake. Store bought served in a thin watery tomato sauce. The Salad ... a plate of bitter over sized greens with a single limp plum tomato. I ordered a Whiskey sour and what was dropped on the table in front of me was a half full glass of liquid that resembled a settled glass of apple cider. It tasted a lot worse than it looked. In any case, I will never return. May I suggest ... an Owner with a PERSONALITY, a Waitress who if doubles for a BARTENDER ... learn how to make a basic drink and have some knowledge of wines. A menu that includes fresh / home made products. Would have left after the salad if were not with another couple.I rated this a one star because there was no less an option. To anyone reading ... want QUALITY .. drive over the hill to Middletown ... Fiore II or Sicily.

We've eaten here three times. The fact is, the owners seem peaceful and the food is excellent. Great traditional Italian food. Fair prices for large portions. Where the problem is is the sole server: she presents her bill to you and it looks like a child's version of a Rorschach ink test: you'll need an other worldly upbringing to grasp its nuances. You'll also need an accountant to explain to you how $4 beer becomes $7 beer without warning. Considering you've already consumed your order and they have this anngry waitress telling you that "Imported beer isn't $7 dollars" in a tone that is both withering contempt and boiling rage, what choice have you? Then there's the other patrons, some of whom raked my Asian wife over the coals for even bringing this to the waitress' attention. That was not fun.. We ended up afraid for our well-being. Another couple was turned away at the front door despite there being many tables available. You can come to your own conclusions. Tell you what folks, the best thing you ever did was drive over to Middletown and try one of the dozen Italian restaurants there.....because this joint is only for certain people.

This is so hard for me to leave a bad review about this place. I remember going her with my mom as kid. They have been around for a very long time and I have always liked their ravolies. After, finding out lymans was closed for 50 days, (lymans sells their raviolis) I decided to go their store. Looking for the Street outside you probably wouldn't know this place was there or even of it was open because it looked pretty dark in the window. The inside is pretty depressing, not much other than a freezer, filled with raviolis and maybe a couple of products on the shelves. I got a lobster ravioli and a cheese. I gave the guy a 20, because they only take cash. My total added up to like 15 and the guy didn't give me any change. I had to ask for my change back. As for the ravolies, the cheese was good but the lobster was horrible it tasted like old seafood. I was really disappointed.

Fresh ravioli. Consistent quality among several types of filling. They have a freezer with a nice selection of ravioli, and other pastas, but ask at counter what's fresh.

Small place set back in a small strip mall. Delicious fresh homemade pasta and ravioli!!! They have it fresh and not frozen at times and always frozen. Also have a small case of various tasty cheese! Nice and sharp provolone! Small selection of grocery too. I feel like not putting this up here to keep it all to me! But here it goes..I want them to continue a fantastic business!
