We were at Caius Brewery tonight and enjoyed two sandwiches and fries.The fries were so good and fresh, no ketchup needed. We had the Cajun and Korean chicken sandwiches. The flavors were great.Look forward to the truck returning!!!

Chef Samad is truly a gifted artist. I have eaten at many fine dining restaurants and have had some of the best dishes on their menus, but nothing compares to the flavor and technique presented at Beyond The Salt. This is a must go spot. Their food truck is often at The Bricks 12 Víctor Street. Check their website for other locations.

I lived in London for 2 years studying Opera in a prestigious conservatory in the UK. I tried no less than 25 different fish and chip restaurants always in search for that perfect match. The perfect mix of spices, heat, acidity, tartar sauce, that would take the inexhaustible fish and chips dish everywhere it had the potential to go.I bit into the fries which were hot,crunchy, and fresh. The fries tasted as though the potato had been freshly shorn just for me.I ventured further and tried the fish. The crunch. The savory. The infusion of flavor to the core of the meat. Time stood still as I remembered how much I loved London and still yearn for it in my heart even though I know better.Then I tried the fish with the sauce. Creamy. Acid sliced lemon freshness. Pickles.I leave Chef Samad's Beyond The Salt food truck baffled, struck, pleased, and curious at how an American was able to find the perfect match of a traditionally British dish.Warm, passionate, and stirring, Chef Samad has a big future ahead with his new live music Speakeasy named "The Bricks". Samad and his team catered our daughter's wedding. The food he prepared for our daughter’s wedding was excellent and we received many compliments on all the different dishes and everyone enjoyed their meals! The prime rib melted in our mouths as it was perfectly cooked and of the highest quality! Our guests that had the salmon said it was excellent! I know that those who had the fries indicated they were the best fries they ever had and one guest even asked for the recipe!
We went for lunch at their new permanent location in Hamden. The food was fresh and delicious, and the service was great! Can't wait to go back!

The brisket sandwich was cooked to perfection! It was so tender it fell apart with every bite, the sauce on it was a sweet and tangy barbecue, plus there were two of the sweetest onion rings that added to make an awesome sandwich!!!
The homemade fries were probably the best I’ve ever had from a food truck… correction they were the best fries I’ve had in this country.
The coleslaw was also delicious.. there was a flavor I think was green onion but couldn’t quite figure it out that made it uniquely amazing!

My niece and I decided to check out Beyond The Salt. Omg. the burger was really big and very tasty the french fries was also tasty usually don't finish them but not this time. We will definitely go back and try out the wraps. Best of luck good food and nice people
