Grew up in Meriden and loved La Perla on Cook Ave. Found out this was the same owners on my visit and had to go! Potato balls are still amazing. Great food, you have to try it if you like authentic Puerto Rican food.

I ordered yellow rice N beans, potato ball, mango drink, guava dessert and some another dessert. The food is absolutely AMAZING!!! The potato ball was on point! Best I've ever had from anywhere. The drink was made perfecto! The rest of the food was cooked to a T..I go here often but today i bought more options and I'm glad I did. Kudos to y'all!!!! I'll always come back for my lunch and dinner

Been going here since they opened and today for the 1st time I was disappointed they changed their steak and beans ...I hope they go back to the original. Was very dis satisfied!!! .....it was kidney beans instead and the steak had no sauce it was made with peppers onions and cilantro...it was good but not the regular way
