The place has been there forever, and the recipe has been unchanged. As they say...."same as it always was." My Dad and Grandfather went there and always said "best around". Now I'm happy to say friends have taken the business over and continue the tradition. True old fashioned kielbasa and other meat products that are sure to satisfy.

My boyfriend did some work at their establishment today and the owner was nice enough to send him home with some kielbasa and it was AMAZING!!! We will be making the trip from Clinton to Meriden specifically for that kielbasa!

Filipek's is the only kielbasa my mother would buy for her special Easter dinner. She grew up with it and passed the tradition down, and she would take my kids there to help her when she got older. Now I'm bringing them for our Easter kielbasa and hoping to pass the tradition on to them. These small shops are very special and we need to continue to support them. The same recipe for 118 years! Incredible.
